Lemon Kush

Hey all, so we recently harvested some Lemon Kush. Although it is very leafy with a low calyx-to leaf ratio, it is still some decent smoke. Hard to finish a bowl in one sitting, I find 2-3 good hits leaves me baked for 2-3 hours. Great for night time and sleep, as it is a sedative, relaxing Indica. Overall a pretty decent smoke which beats the shit out of any local mid-grade in every way. Cheers - bongsmilie

DSCN0839.JPG Quite leafy, but also covered in trichomes. No lemon smell or taste. Once you smoke some, you won't be complaining at all :joint:

Female Seeds version? I have grown their bubblegummer and grapefruit a couple of times and always had good plants though could have been more potent..could be poor growing on my part. How is your Western Winds doing?

Yep, it's the FMS version. Guess the weather has been less then ideal, but we're not complaining, it's a pretty good (B grade) end product that is just light-years above anything we payed money for around here. The Western Winds is flowering sloowly. Had a major downpour/storm and one of my biggest colas got snapped. I propped her up, and it looks like she's gonna make it. Whew... close call. So I still have a single lemon kush and 4 western winds going atm. Will update with pics towards the end of the month when there has been a significant change in bud formation. Looking to harvest my last LK on the 31st :-). The WW will prolly go till Halloween.. waiting patiently. They smell incredible already. Like exotic, spicy candy. Very sweet with a pungent peppery twist. I think it's going to be Fantastic!

May the cola heal and no mold ever come your way. I am growing now more for the short term but I really hope to run a tentful of the looong flowerers and WW has been an interest of mine. I'm 52 and my wife just turned 48 so we are not sure how the high end Sativas will work for us brain-wise. Killing Fields and chocolate rain appeal too.:peace::leaf::x:roll::eyesmoke:

Thanks ! :-) I would def recommend the Kali (either version is great) - from what I hear. I'm going to run Serious seeds Kali Mist in the future to see how the 2 compare. I will def be doing a smoke report on the ww in due time. The slowest 2 phenos are dropping fan leaves and some colas are just Frosted all to oblivion, while other colas (on the same plant) haven't started resin production yet. WTF...? They all receive the same amount of light, so I'm not sure what is going on there. Will prolly have to take 'em till Halloween, if not a little later. Beware, some phenos have a LONG, slow, flowering time. Of course, you can control that indoors, and ripen them up quicker by manipulating the photoperiod- ie. 8/16 , instead of 12/12 for the last 4 weeks. Anyway, happy growing bro!

DSCN0840.JPG Lots of rain lately, and I had to tie up one cola because she snapped. The constant rain has caused these runts' leaves to go yellow faster than I'd like. These 2 WW will be the last to get the chop. I couldn't get a good close-up, but some colas have NICE and copious amounts of trichomes and smell heavenly- better than all my other plants. They don't look great, but judging by smell/trichs, I think they will have a pure and exotic sativa effect:joint: Just need lots of patience-
