ok so after i successfully finished my first grow and have been savoring the dank nugs all week a friend of mine who has a decent sized indoor op calls me. he tells be that he has several smaller plants that he needed to get rid of because he does not have the room. What a kickass friend huh?

so my dilemma is that it is now early October, i am in Southern California and i have 4x 2ft plants that have been on 12/12 for over a week. am i wrong to expect to be able to flower these girls outside at this time? is it too late? any info would be greatly appreciated. 3 of them are sour D and one is Lemon Kush. here are a few photos.

I would say you are about a month too late.

Nice lookin girls though. Get a light.

so you dont think they will develop properly? indoor is not an option for me. im just hoping because we are in a flowering season they will flower as normal even though it is about a month too late. i wish i could put them under a light and veg them outdoors till next year and just have massive plants for next season. but it doesnt seem possible given my situation. so all i can do is flower these little babies outside. gosh i hope this works. would love to hear from someone who has been where i am now.

No, it will be too late to do that now. The plants must have been under some low wattage lights too, they look way to elongated.

they were under a 1000watt MH bulb for the veg and a 1000watt HPS for about a week before being placed outside.

i think my buddy over watered a little bit. and they were getting pushed to the outside of the perimeter of the grow room by all the other plants growing so big.

so no real confidence by anyone that they can still be flowered outdoors in socal? i know it will not get any colder then 40 degrees here all winter. but i do expect some rain. i plan to cover the babies with plastic for the rain.

I would try if you cant do inside your just under 12 hours of light right now, and 40 degrees is borderline too cold but you should be okay as long as it dont get below 30 too often. the cold will make it purpulish, and also you will need sun but no matter what you will get something, just leave it as long as you can and it should yield you something.
