:leaf: So here it is the first ever crop, I am very impatient so i have plucked a couple of buds off during like the eighth week of flower cause i just couldnt wait. OKAY so now the important stuff i cut ALL of the main bud branches off trying to learn how to clone. Unfortunalty i had to learn on the fucking medical weed considering after i butchered it i was more how you say experienced and didnt have to cut up the Alaskan Ice as much. plus i started using clonex but hey, it is what it is and now i have my medicine. So we made the call yesterday mourning and pulled that bitch. It took 3 months to grow and 100's of hours of time and Ended up getting 22 grams on the one stick/ cola w/ the lumber. The rest of the stalk weighed 12 grams and its about 15-18 inches long (i guess i coulda measured it lol) I hope to walk away with a dry quarter ounce. BUT hands down this is the best dope i've ever smoke. Its like the best sativa you've ever had and the most killer creeper you've ever had an they got together and fucked and then that baby and the most sentless weed you have ever had an the tastest bud you've ever had got together and had a 3some. AND THAT MY FRIENDS, IS THE 1024 MEDICAL Now that the first grow is out of the way. We can continue, I have a 1024 clone dong well(with all the branches) and another Alaskan Ice clone plus the Alaskan Ice mother witch is about half way through flower, I will post those pics later

i am very interested in using LEDs now to grow, ive done some looking for lights on ebay and found some with the same specifications as the ones you got, what all did it take to make the whole setup, if u could pretty much give me a step-by-step of wiring and the power source i would need that would be great, this is a new concept for me so im kinda at a loss. thanks for your help :peace:

OK first shop around look for the best led's you can. Like one spot i went to had led's for 1-3 bucks a peice and thats way to much. The hood i have right now is 1/4 watt resistors w/ 5% carbond's 255 count. The next one we're building is going to be 555 10 mm wit 1/2 watt resistors. Granted it will shorten the life but 20,000 hours is still pretty good. Then we will swap out the 1/4 wat resitors for 1/2 resistors. ok so you need a 12 volt DC power source the amp's depend on how many watts you are using. amps times volts equal watts for instance if you have a power source thats 12 volts (HAS TO BE 12 VOLTS NOT 8 NOT 18) and its 5 amps thats 12 * 5 = 60 you can run 60 watts of led so know you choose 60 1 watt or 120 1/2 watt or 240 1/4 watt you will need something bigger than 5 amps OR mutilple power sources. Now DC is positive and negitve to one positive wire runs down your board we used hard plastic you sodder the positive led post to the resitor then sodder the other end of the resistor to the positve. and run a negitive wire on the othere side of the led two rows of wires with led in the middle the resistors will keep the power source form burning out the led's. trust me no resistor the led goes stupid bright then retarded dark

hey thanks for all the help man, this is gonna be pretty simple yet surprisingly effective and hopefully its dumb proof enough it wont be too difficult to do ripped lol
:weed:
anyway hope u have continued luck with the clones, ill definitely still be watching this grow

one love :leaf:

Yeah it will be cool, like i said if you run into problems hit me up. just dont skimp out on those leds at a .25 cents a peice you better go spend at least the hundo and shove those on a hood size no bigger than 24'' x 60" if the hood gets warm throw a comp[uter fan on the side.

i have a question, i was thinking and have u ever tried out those light boards of LEDs all around the plant to get bigger buds towards the bottom compared to just top light? i assume the Mylar u use reflects it to the bottom of the plant well enough so would the extra lights around it be a waste?

You know with th led's the nanowaves penatrate through the whole plant so i dont think you need to put side lights, PLUS i dont think i would want such bushy plants, the more leafs the less space for juicy buds. I would assume they would grow sideways just like they do upward and you would have a very wide plant, might work good for tricking/scoging the plant. I have this blue widow thats halfway done in flower i dead headed the plant. It was stunned for about 3 weeks but then it did some wicked cool bend thing then just shot up one day with 6 cola points and they all look like they want to be the main. Also remember the air flow and with the ammount of leds you need you will have weed growing disco play house.

Oh, dear, I think you got the units completely wrong. MCD does not equals to Lumens. it all depends on angle of coverage, etc. I have not gone thought all the maths, neither can I be bother, your LED panel is like 1000th less than what you expect.
MCD=milicandela, not million candela. I am sorry to disappoint you about the figures. Also it is also healthy to add a CFL (or 2) to fill in the missing wavelengths. Ordinary LED just won't cut it, the commercial units uses high power, ultra bright LED that consume a watt each. I hope this help.

SO im not to sure who let your bitch ass in my thread but if you know how to read i never said i had more lumens than i had i stated the lumin intensity. You think i care my hood is pushing less than 200 lumens FUCK NO i have all the wave lengths ideal for absorbtion and photosynthesis. Why do i need my pot growing hood to be high on a scale made for seeing light. I bet you wanna talk about the kelvin scale next huh? Go fuck yourself next time you call some one dear make sure your bringing them shots bitch.

Its a open forum anyone can post, bitch! I was just meant to point out the error now you started to call names. Now I think I just want to stop you from misleading people.

like i said PUSS learn to read AND if you know forum rules "do not post on someones thread UNLESS they want you too." and YOU i dont want posting. Frst you know nothing about LED'S, Second you accuse me of making false statements when i did not and when working with LED its not the regular lumens your after its a wave length and as long as your pumping out a good amount of lumen intensity your good. If my LED'S were 90 degree angle and not 17-20 angle i would get the same intensity YOU BITCH ASS CUNT BUT and here is the big one just by changing the angle the LUMENS that your use to would go up to as far as 3.5 million but like i said before WHY DO I CARE ABOUT A SCALE MADE FOR SEEING LIGHT i perfer plant absorbtion and photosynthesis get your knowlegde on before you step back into my thread. This thread is for learning and abserving. The non bitches wich is not you blade9z can post comments and questions anthing they want just not your cunt ass LOL little man LOL

Well im pretty sure that the LED will grow your plant as tall as you want it. The further away your light the more your plant wants to stretch to get to it, think of how far far away the sun is, and look at how tall trees and other plant life are. The thing aout LED'S is that you can have your hood as close as you want because tey are not hot, you can touch the bulb while its on and fee little to no warmth so if you like short and bushy plants then thats what you will have. I think the around 4 foot plant is ideal( for me anyways) :blsmoke:

Okay folks the long awaited 275 watt LED hood

I still need to pic up those 50 red LEDS to make it 300 watt. The second pic is of the old hood 250 led 1/4 watt 75 watt total power consumption this new hood has twice as many lights twice as many watts as the other hood. The first pic is the new hood the other two are for my boy RYHIGH i took the old hood and hung it sideways so it gets the side light too, now every day or so i need to move the plants around to get the most out of the side lght
