Customer Service experience with buying 2 A51-90s is the reason I went with "Aquarium Lighting" ... err, Area 51 when the SGS-160 came out. They were incredibly helpful with all of my LED queries, and I learned a shit ton from my emails with EH. One cool ass company to deal with.

Yes, open that hot bitch up and show us the goods
Yea.. same here.. got my A-51 "aquarium" light today.. I couldnt have been happier with how responsive Jeff was.. Now its time to see what they can do!
He let me know about their grower program they are setting up.

"We're actually going to be starting something similar to Cali Lightworks growers feedback program sometime in maybe a month or 2, we'll have some light giveaway contests, feedback programs for tested and released lights (the SGS-160) and a beta testers feedback program (60x5w all Cree XTE 3500k 155w). If you're interested, you can join there for a chance to win another of our lights, once the site is up."

ANY thoughts on the 135 watt black star I ordered about 2 hours ago? it will be over a single plant, is it possible to have the 135watt over two? or will that be a little to weak?

Mehhh depends how big you let them get. You could easily do 4 photos and keep them a quarter of the size.... I think this whole "how many plants" thing is really bad as a rough guide.

Yeah you might be able to fit 4 single cola small plants in their if you did'em micro in small pots. You could get the same amount out of one trained plant too. Up to you.

The only problem I am going to have is the height I am able to raise my lights. There is only about 4.5 to 5 feet of height.

No worries - you just need to keep'em short and compact and make sure you go for strains that aren't gonna stretch too much. You can top the shit out of'em to keep'em short and branchy :)

Yeah....... you need to add more light for flowering in a 4x2(ufo's /cfls/T5s/ etc.).......run the auto 20/4 straight through(if it's NOT from Nirvana;-)), and EASY on the ferts with autos, their finicky bitches and will claw on you.

good luck

Yeah a 90W is only good for about 2'x2'. You need either another 90W or something bigger for the other half of your space if you wanna get optimal results.

If you're growing organic, my LED plants have always been much happier with in soil amendments rather than liquid nutes.

They're also the same pics on the website, the one he probably wants you to Google.

(I did, and I wouldn't waste my time/clicks again)

Someone ban this clown...............

:CONTENT: I just made Kief with my trim for the first time. Oh lawd it really works doesnt it! just filled 2 SoS seed vials with beautiful crystals from only about half an ounce of trim. Super pleased.

Bought the "Magnetic box" (a plain jane kief box with screen and a black acrylic plate) from EDIT for under 10 quid. Absolute bargain, does the job fantastically. VERY PLEASED :hump:

Mix keef/hash (I've done it with hash from trim) with bacardi 151 in a french press (mixture should be dark green), let it sit for a bit. Mix 2-10 mL of the resulting solution with some strong-tasting juice, throw it back.... and enjoy.

Strangely a friend was asking me to do tincture instead of ISO wash with my kief'd trim (more than half o of course).... maybe I'll use your recipe :D

Hey guys, new to the forum and have probably read about 50 pages in this thread. I will be growing arabidopsis next year and I was looking at light solutions. At first I was going to go CFLs, but since I was going to do at least 16 square feet I figured that there was a better solution.

I have grown with HPS before and I know it does well (haven't tried with arabidopsis), but I had a concern with temperature. These plants are winter annuals and thrive at 72F.

Then came LEDs -- I bought some shitty LED panels before and it was an all around negative experience, but the more and more I read about how much has changed in the past 5 years or so I figure it might be a viable option.

Now, arabidopsis don't need a lot of light from what I've read. They grow fine anywhere from 80-200 μmol m-2 s-1, which is equivalent of 8,000 -15,000 lux of HPS (you
can read about that here. I'm not sure how that translates into lumens or LEDs though.

I read about the Diamond Series 3w LED panels and they look very promising. I was going to try to see if 1 of them, situated high up to cover the whole 16ft squared would be able to be enough to keep my arabidopsis happy. Maybe someone knows how much μmol m-2 s-1 [/SUP][SUP]cannabis needs so I can compare it to that. I know the recommend range is much less than 16ft squared but if my estimate is correct, that will still be able to output enough light. My lights won't need penetration power as the arabidopsis plant doesn't really have layers to cut through.

Here is a picture of the arabidopsis.

[SUP] Most it will really get if I expand the veg time to 2 months will be about 6" in diameter. I am however going to veg for about a month. One thing to point out on why these plants don't need a lot of light is that, being a winter annual, they veg for <12 hours a day and flower for 12-16 hours, opposite of cannabis. Maximum height these will get is about 8" high.

I am also looking for a grow tent that doesn't gas off (I think that's the correct term) that will have some vents for me to put fans on and if possible have more than one side access. Looking for something 4' x 4' for under $175 that will suit my needs. I saw some on Amazon for in the $125 range.[/SUP]

Looking for any advice and hopefully an endorsement on my belief that I will only need one of those 100W LED Diamond Series light strips. Looking forward to hear what the conversion to cannabis requirement of
μmol m-2 s-1 compared to what arabidopsis need.

I'm not used to this forum so the formatting of my text is all wonky, so sorry if it looks weird.
