blackstar 500 here. These plants vegged under a t5 for awhile then a welthink wex 150 and now the blackstar. If you buy one of these first thing you need to do is toss the shitty power cord, lighthouse hydro SHOULD know about this issue and SHOULD have addressed this issue by now. Its a shitty power cord, other than that I find the panel totally acceptable and MAY buy another but I dunno. I made my order and then asked a question as to whether this was the 6 band model with uv/ir, of course the place I bought it from had no idea and suggested I ask lighthouse hydro tech support, upon emailing them to see if this was in fact the model I ordered I heard nothing back and have heard nothing to this day. This isn't really an issue with me but it would have been if say I were having a problem I couldn't figure out. I switched the power cord out with a more quality one and its rock solid. I'll be buying more of this brand.

I want to murder my hydro shop. I couldn't find my damn receipt for my old kessil that was under warranty (the red diodes burnt out so it was essentially a blue light) and they used a basic computer system for a register so I asked if they could just print me a new one, but the owner wasn't around and the worker was retarded and couldn't figure it out so they said they'd return it for me since they'd only had one in the whole store and I bought it. So I waited for MONTHS, constantly calling to check up on what was going on and they FINALLY called me back to tell me they were having issues with their distributor (not Kessil directly) and that they'd give me store credit. Awesome...because of course I don't want a new fucking light, when I'd made sure to tell them how much I wanted a replacement kessil. Fast forward and three months after this bullshit I decide to go ahead and actually order an upgrade, to the Kessil H350 since I had loved my 150 so much and had already wanted to upgrade so I only had to pay the difference for it. I also switched to the magenta instead of purple after having written kessil directly regarding the differences in the wavelengths per color and which is best for flowering plants. I figure I can nab a blue only Kessil 150 for veg with the magenta and that will make it into essentially a purple spectrum. So far, totally LOVING the h350, it hurts to look in my tent it's so bright. My plant is also happier as it's not longer growing into an HPS light system and burning.

I'm super happy w/ my 357 mags and I plan on replacing my 1000w HPS, but I want to replace it with the most powerful light possible. I'm thinking an array of Kessil 350s would be the shit. Maybe like 6-8 of them arranged on a hanging frame.

The point is that I LOVE my 357 mags. After doing a lot of research, the only thing I'd ever use other than 357 is Kessil

Hey New World~ I have jumped in with a home garden, 9 clones of an indica strain. Using 2- 90 Watt UFO (ProSource) lamps, table dimensions of 6 x 3ft & Botanicare Nutrients. Had an early snafu w/ the rock wool cubes I transplanted my new babies into (totally amateur move) & did not soak them first for 24 hours in pH'd water (recommended to keep at 5.5 for hydro), however I did soak them in the nutriented solution in the barrel for 24 hours first. I am using a pump system for watering (& a little manual labor) for the time being & has not been too hard to keep up with...
The plants are about 3 weeks in veg now but I have been continually experiencing nutrient burn on the leaves. Curling & brown spots. I understand that by the early abuse the roots experienced that it has created some sort of over-fert problem to this day. And even after flushing the plants for days with just pH'd water (5.5) & no nutrients the leaves are still curling & producing brown spots. They are still growing every day especially at the top of the canopy, however, they are a bit long & spindly looking, along with some of the larger leaves curling under. The lights are about 17" from their tops & I am feeding them every day at 5 when they wake up & 5 pm. Where do I go from here? Am I overwatering them? Have heard that you cannot actually overwater in hydro? I really do have many unanswered questions about LED & Hydro growing... All I really want to do is grow my own & am so excited to learn but am now feeling a bit discouraged. I am humbly turning to the experienced grow community for help in any way you can offer. :-(:?::wall:

maybe a flush is in order thats what i usually do when i get signs like those ..... also how far you hanging your lights from the canopy? this could cause stretching if you have them too far away.

I would suggest to try feeding less often and maybe with a lower ratio of nutrients you might be running a little hot. Might need to supplement a bit of calmag too.

Shiiiiiit, at that price you could just hire someone to grow the weed for you.

And with that in mind here's some views from the cheap seats (2 x BS240w's + 1 x Chinese No-Name 5wx60 aka the White-Tard 300MW) :)

Thanks Curly. Cost me a little less than $360.00 after fees, shipping and tweaks. I believe the drivers are running at 350mA, so that's about 3.85 or 4 watts per diode but don't hold me to that. I gotta talk to the guy at LED_Star who sold me it soon so I'll double check. I mean let's face it performance is just not that great. This is more a brute-force light delivery system. But it does keep my plants happy, I will say that! :)
