What do you most want to see in an led grow light, what are the biggest factors that come into play for you, when deciding what grow light you choose?
Sounds good to me, would love to see the lights youve created. Here's what I look for - at least 3w tech, proper wavelengths, no less than 100w, accurate wattage reporting, heatsinks, solid warranty, and superb customer service. Now here's what I want to see - more true 5w or 6w led panels available.

Here's some of the info about the new line of lights coming out from Advanced that I was talking about. It's not the whole thing because it was fairly long, but this should give you some good info about it. This info came in an email from Advanced.

Introducing The New 2011 Diamond Series from Advanced LED. The Diamond Series is the most advanced LED grow light ever produced and builds on the success of our Extreme Flower LEDs with these advanced features:
New - Precision Made Diamond Lenses with Huge 3W LEDs
New - Custom Designed Housing with Advanced Air Flow
New - Advanced LED Drivers for Higher Performance
New - Color Select Switch with Clone, Veg and Flower Modes
New - Dual Heat Sink Reduces Heat by over 50% vs Others
New - Daisy Chain Link Feature Allows up to 3 Lights on One Cord
New - Lower Prices!

100w Diamond Series - Coverage: 1.5 x 2.5
200w Diamond Series - Coverage: 2 x 3
300w Diamond Series - Coverage: 3 x 3
400w Diamond Series - Coverage: 2 x 4
600w Diamond Series - Coverage: 2.5 x 4
800w Diamond Series - Coverage: 3 x 4

Here's some of the 3rd party review that was included in the email too:
"I divided my space into three separate chambers with light barriers. I placed three Advanced LEDs in there, their current 180w, a 360w and their new Diamond Series 200w."
"Keeping the comparison fair, I used clones of 2 strains and gave each light a total of 4 plants to grow. They all are looking great, but as expected the plants under the 360 are heavier and thicker than the 180. What wasn't expected was that the plants under the 200w Diamond Series are as big and dense as the ones under the 360w."

End of email info...

There you have it. I'm looking forward to seeing what these can do.

WTF never received this from advance......I find it interesting that just a few months ago I was told by advance my 360s would cover 4x4 (NOT) and now the newer more powerful panels have a "smaller print"....I guess at least their finally being honest.

Are you subscribed to their newsletter? Maybe that's why you didn't get the email? I always grow in a smaller space than the recommended footprint coverage, but I feel pretty comfortable with their claims. I've seen others running the recommended coverage areas, a 180w in a 3x3 and theyre doing amazing for veg, so we'll see how they turn out in flowering in the recommended space. The new diamond series have those new focused lenses so maybe thats why the footprint is smaller on them? So if you don't feel like a 360 covers 4x4 too well, what would you say is the ideal size grow space for one?

Anyone else join LEDBUDGUY forum then question the man himself on his results and get an immediate ban for doing that??
That's hilarious. I was browsing that forum and wasnt impressed one bit. Very little traffic, comments are few and far between. We have a much stronger led community here on RIU...if only we could get that LED subforum...

That was exactly what I thought when I joined, very little traffic, very little accurate and informative discussion on LED, just a bunch of seemingly new growers who are wanting LED to be effective hanging onto every word this guy says. Every time a person mentions a LED brand other than Magnum he jumps to magnums defense. I also saw how Irishboy had joined the forum and then began to discuss magnums use of his images in another website promoting magnum leds. Before long it turned ugly and he too was banned. Afterwards ledbudguy threw all sorts of abuse his way.

In my mind as soon as you reduce yourself to name calling you are ignorant and guilty and trying to shift focus onto the other person rather than face the music yourself. Anyway it's no loss, the forum was unhelpful and boring to say the least.

Yep received the july newsletter so ??? (maybe he left off his recent purchase customers as to not piss them off the new lights are out)..... 3x3 max with the 360 and that still would leave the outer perimeter with airy light buds. The 360 grows nice buds for sure although not as dense as I would like to see.

Have you looked at their spotlights? I have a couple of the far red spotlights to help with density. I definitely noticed the buds getting light from the far red were more dense than the rest. Whats cool about them is you can aim them upward and dense up all that undergrowth too.

lol, yea I saw they have them but wasnt sure what their deal was, at 1000 bones a light i shouldnt need any extra lights but i guess not the case. I added 600hps between the 360s to make it up.

If Mike is putting the returns/exchanges on ebay, then look for FOUR 2011 v1 290W coming up in the next couple of weeks. I will be getting 180s to replace mine.

you know the more I think about it the more my theory on not receiving the letter makes sense. I have 3 months to return my lights, what would stop me from returning them to get a new gen light from any of the vendors...hmmmm...

Ill try and get some pics up..

That actually makes a lot of sense. I could see that as a possibility. Well if they're released anytime within the 3 month period from when you bought them, you can still have that option...you just wouldn't get the discount price probably, but it wouldn't hurt asking them about it. Looking forward to your pics, haven't seen any grows running 2 360s let alone with a 600hps in the mix.
