Hi guys new to the led scene and am looking for info on the LUMATEK ZEUS XTREME 1000. Has anyone used it yet? What do you guys think of the specs? Is there a better led that someone could recommend?

There's a lot of different version of the 120w and 240w boards. I'm running at 36x20x63 tent. Should I go with the 240w? Looking at the alibaba lights, which 240w is the best bang for the buck? Or will heat be an issue and I should just go with the 120w?

A noob to the boards here but not to cultivation, after a lot of research and comparisons I pulled the pin on a Mars Hydro FC6500, just unboxed it and I have to say I am really impressed. Good build, great heatsinks, proper Samsung and Osram diodes, The cables are very substantial as well and it looks like the IP67 rating could be good to go. Flipped the on switch with dimmer set to min and let it warm for a bit and cranked it up, holy shit, this is a nice light, PPFD readings fantastic, I love the asymmetric spacing of the bars , coverage very nice. Just waiting on an AC Infinity fan with the new controller to let this shine. Got a good pheno of delicious seeds Jack Herer and a nice ASD to try . Will be using my tried and true organic/hydro hybrid soil and nutrient mix for the first run. Thanks to all for the great info and wicked good photos and journals. Jah Love .

hmmm this turned out to be a poppin thread, I come from h.p& m.h. but am currently running a ViparSpectra p4000, check my grow journal if you'd like, or my thread. I will say this the trade off of (light penetration) vs all that heat is a win win and honestly I'm buying one more p4000 for my tent and it will be over kill.

I got a Medic Grow Fold 8 for my 4x4 tent to run at 80%, which I believe is around 550 watts? The thing is massive, it will barely fit in the tent. I will do a grow journal for it. I've got soil cooking for a new 4x4 no till bed right now and the plants are 5 days old-depending on how long it takes my current crop to finish, I may just clone my current plants and run the clones. Excited to finally try a big LED grow after a lifetime of HID and sunlight.

Whats up guys, I’m running a KingLED 2,000 watts for my tent at 30 inches above, would this be too close for my plant, I place my hand right on top of my plant amd don’t feel heat

I am using the zeus 600 pro for this grow and its a beast of a light my tent is just over 6ft 6 high and the light is as high as it can go and I have not needed to turn it up more than 50%
The pro1000 requires co2 and a much bigger set up than I have but I have read really good reports from those that tested it but with the need for co2 and quality extraction fans it will not be a cheap set up but I have no doubt it would do exactly what Lumatek says it will

Anyone here with the Mars Hydro FC 6500 with the UV and IR ? This unit is from last year I believe. Inventronics driver.The newer ones dont apparently, How to tell- look under the pairs or red osram 660s for a single circular diode, apparently switched UV and far red is coming from the chat I had this afternoon. Nice. From Bruce Bugbees lectures the synergistic effects of both are fantastic.

Im using 300 watts in s smaller rectangular growspace, LEDs are LM301b and Cree, lots of light, very little warmth and was very happy until now....

Have you seen this lamp tho....

Just had my lights and so happy with results but... 1300 leds... 3 umol... baby jesus

Its connectable to a digital driver that not only runs your schedule, it does it with sunset and sunrise settings...

Daddy needs a brand new lampie....

Bought the Lightspeed pro cosmic plus 600 led, since swithcing over from hps l have embraced the heat instead of fighting it. Running a closed system tent so not so closed but closest lve been. Co2 is homebrew, and water filtered. No smell at all. But these lights can grow herb, wow. Loving on leds, think spectrum is 5k plus 660 deep reds. But graph is what youd expect from a full spectrum half the blue as red, sf and those type are more 1 to 1, high blue spike. Loving leds over old tech, led user forever. Wont need to buy another light for over 10 years. Works out more favorably if you think of as long term investments. I would spend 240 a year on bulbs, 150 a year for leds. Almost 60% the cost of bulbs. For the piece of mind its worth it. Led growers get the word out, hid is old tek, your yields will go up, so will quality.
