Build your own dummy, but don't recommend shit lights to others wanting 'good' advice.
By the way Bob, the "dummy" was the masculine looking woman who pushed you out of her overly stretched vagina. Tell her I said hello as I'm sure you still live with her. And "Bob" is a name that suits you very well as I'm sure you're used to doing just that...

There are many Quantum boards lights, not only HLG made it.:P
HLG600 3000K full power. Soil, organic feed, 5x5 tent, followed VFD chart. I've yet to finish trimming (Strawberry Cough)but my other plant (Chem Dog #4) weighed in at 8.1 oz, this tote should come in 1.5 -2 pounds, all grown together. I hate trimming 8-)

Hello, i'm currently vegetating my first grow with my DIY cxb3590 at 50 setup. For now is okey, plants are growing nicely, but i know ill be lacking light when i get into flower, and here comes my question, i bought a 45cm (long) x 13cm (wide) x 4cm (height) aluminum regular shaped dissipator that's doing pretty well with this single cob could it run 2 cobs passively or maybe 3 with active disipation? I've done some research but i couldn't understand very well the info i found.
Sorry for my inglish

Test the temperature of the current light fixture with a infrared laser as your baseline then test your new fixture. You can always mount your oscillating fan high to assist with keeping it cool.
Cheers :blsmoke:

I hope that other lower price point lights go in a similar direction as Mars. I have posted for years that Mars could produce a decent efficient grow light anytime they so chose. Not criticizing Mars as any company that ups it’s product line should be congratulated.

TS and SP series seem to be valid products.

They produce a good amount of light, the efficiency is still pretty far off the top contenders though. So it will cost you more to run month to month, for the same results.

Very true but I reinforce any positive steps!

Hi

Looking to start a new experience with a.cob led grow ,probably a bunch of 50w ,probably 6-9

Wanted to ask a couple of questions

are driverless LEDs useless as some people go on ?
Quite confusing as the grows and articles based on research show otherwise

Also is this due to the efficiency e.g run to hard therefore running way hot.?

If not then why?

Which cob LEDs should I get ?
Are epistars a good bet ?
Also would 4 full spectrum.2 cool white and 3 warm.white be a good set up ?

I've seen millions on eBay so can't really distinguish but some direction would be great

And if standard driver LEDs are the way to go then how efficient can they be if running them adequately soft ?
I ask this as some.of the driverless LEDs I have been assured are about 50% ,e.g 50w cob =25w actual light lumens

Hoping to have a decent discussion about this

Also if standard cobs with a driver are the way to go can someone please help me sourcing some of these ,the ones on AliExpress and eBay are like 90lpw ,what's the point , live in the UK btw
Thank you

There already is a thread about these driver less cobs:https://www.rollitup.org/t/12v-50w-driverless-cobs.984047/

Heres a Youtube tester's results using two dissimilar 50W driver less cobs:https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=11&v=OnaVr2Cgspc
Summary: bad choice for a grow light / good choice for momentary lighting such as a motion activated spotlight for security purposes.

The rate of photosynthesis and transpiration are directly affected by temperature, humidity and airflow.
The perfect temperature and humidity for your plants are found between 75°-85°F and 50% - 70% humidity, with plenty of airflow to replenish CO2. PH is 6-6.5. You may add more calcium and magnesium than normally needed, less water and nutrients .

Grow with led Recommended Lighting Time: Veg: 18/6(on/off) or 20/4(on/off) Flower: 12/12(on/off)
