Trying to copy last years tech won't get your company you work for Mars Hydro very far.
Being in marketing most of my life I can't understand why Mars Hydro is driving business away by having you here making a fool of yourself. Do you know that there are men that not only built better lights than you sell but in some cases designed the lights and are here trying to help others make wise choices.
But you , you fill this thread up with useless propaganda , Mars Hydro must think people are very dumb, news flash they are not. I, at one time, considered Mars Hydro, but then I googled some key terms and brought me here to this thread and I decided NO not to buy a Mars product because of YOU.
You(Mars)clearly are not a company to deal with as you waste others valuable time with this account and the other accounts you talk back and forth with trying to pretend to be interested in your product.
PLEASE get a real job!! and stop pretending to be a random grower, you are not fooling anyone just losing more business as clearly Mars Hydro can't be trusted you prove it everyday!
Maybe they can assign you to a warranty position, it is a huge job at your firm, lots of problems with your light burning out I have read countless times.
Why not do like other REPUTABLE companies do and pay for advertising and stop this silly game that everyone is fed up with...go AWAY.
:lol::lol::lol:
Here, herenow!

@ANC I wondered if you use the 3000K to veg or do you have something else perhaps?
I love the samsung 3000K but I am thinking for seeds/seedlings a 4000K might be better but also have T-8 fluorescent lights to start seeds if needed till I build a LED veg light if I really need it.
The Samsung light is much more efficient than the fluorescent and will do fine. The K rating on LEDs don’t seem to matter much in veg as plenty of blue light is produced by all.

100W of CFL bulbs will in lumens yield less than 5000lumens while the same in LM561c strips, push out 17000.
I know we are interested in PAR mostly, but this illustrates that these are beasts of a completely different calibre.

I have used everything from 2000k to 6500k in veg and they all got the seedlings going for flower tent. 3000k COBs and Boards and other quality LEDs have plenty of blue energy in their spectrums for great vegging, especially compared to HPS. They will get the job done.
I do agree with that but I will still build a veg light as I need more wattage for my tent.

OK
Thanks

Mine run about 96 lumens per watt which is still only almost half as my HLG lights after driver loss etc on QB288 V-2 301B chips
I am going to still build a little seedling /clone light likely 5000k strip lights as they are what I can get cheapest in Canada right now.
The QB boards are great and all but I want single strips if I buy anything else to spread light out as even as possible.

I've vegged plenty of plants using a rig full of 23W spiral CFLs It works OKish until they are about 6 weeks old, if it does make them a little more stretchy than when grown under high light.

they don't matter in flower either from what i have seen
Average k rating here in flower tent is about 3700k. When I got my white LEDs panels and COBs lights 3500k was as low as could be found. I'd prefer around 3000k but not enough to buy anything different.

This Copper Chem In the stone pipe right now was grown in there and will put a rush on you! Seems they work fine and comfortable to be around!

Agreed....Have fun.

Any builds previously done with Chinese outsourced products off Alibaba. I’m in need of a light to flower a 5x5 area. I bought a hipargero 800 of amazon and it’s amazing. Who would have thought my girls LOVE IT . Sadly it’s sold out and don’t know when it will return. And Unfortunately I want a stronger light and have learned enough to know I can build my own with a bit of help that’s better than any on amazon or eBay or expensive fluence or mammoth lights. And the Athena plus isn’t even up to par of the light Id like. I have about 5-6 hundred I’d like to spend. Can anyone give me any help?!!
