LED tentgrow, double cycle. Help me get it right the first time!

Hi there!


I have finally moved to an apartment with space enough to try out a nice closet grow. I´m a person who likes to make things right the first time. That is why I hope to get some help from you guys - the friendliest people on the internet. But enough flattering - lets get on with it!

The grow space

Other stuff

Cuttings: ROOT!T seedling kit. Just a generetic 24-cube root kit.
Nutrients: No idea, probably going to be a kit of some sort.
Grow medium: Not sure - whatever the guy in the store recomends.

Strains

I plan to run 3 different strains. I´m not sure if they are capable of growing at the same time though. But the dream would be to be able to grow at least two strains at the same time.

Game plan

The plan is to run a double cycle grow, meaning that I am going to run both a chamber with vegging cycle and a chamber with a flowering cycle at the same time. First run is going to be from seeds but later on from clones. Most of the specs i have written out is flexible. And I am willing to spend more money if it will make a significant impact on the quality of the grow.


As you can see in the schematic, I intend to grow from cuttings and to have a decent ability to remove the weakest plants throughout the cycle. This is my first grow though, so before I run to the hydro-store I would like some input and help from you guys. Don´t spare the bashing. I hope to be a great grower one day, so lets do this right!


So what do you think? What part of the setup have i missed? Are there any other strains you can recommend (need to possible to get outside of the states).

Do you have a ph meter, an hygrometer, a thermometer?
Are going to smoke your products!??
If you are...the choice of nutes is very easy...organic!!! Do you want to smoke chemicals?!?
And if you are in US...you have more than choices for nutes...maybe something like supersoil and only tap water for a first time would be easier and would give best results than with nutes you have to add yourself!
What is the brand of your pannels, and what kind of led it use (brand, bin, color, power...)
Autopot is a good choice...if you look for taste, you should use soil, coco and perlite in the middle coco and perlite if you look for gpw try stg or another medium.
If you want to scrog your plant you need strains with the same flowering time, since your plants are in the net.
I advice you to try a normal grow for the first...to be able to manipulate the plants and live you free to have a 9weeks and a 14 weeks plant in the same box which is not possible when melted with the screen...!

I do have a thermo-, hygro- and PH-meter! I am going to smoke the product. I have heard many recomendations towards organic nutes, and I will probably try that out in the future. Though in my first grows i feel that I need al the help I can get! And water is a chemical so I am not particularly worried about smoking it no

I´m not in the US unfortunaly, but I can probably get most of the stuff anyway. What is supersoil? Some sort of soil-mix with the nutes prepackages i presume?

I´m not sure what brand the panels are. Al i know are their input effects (120w + 180w) and that they are outputing a flowering spectrum. Will know more in a few days when they arrive!

I´m not quite sure what you mean with the coco and perlite sentence. Do you mean I should use soil enriched with coco and perlite or do you mean something else? And with gpw I pressume you mean growth per watt or something like that right?

Gpw gram per watt...
60%Bag soil + 30% coco coir + 10% perlite.that is what I use...
Stg...sure to grow is a medium for hydro and would work in autopot...Coco too (100%)...there must be a lot of grow logs with autopots...I saw one with biotabs starter kit and it was a very nice grow(maybe add a little organic PK booster at week 4 flo!?)...
