You could make a frame with U channel on either end and then you could slide your lite bars back and forth? If you only had one plant you could slide them tighter to increase your lite density of that one plant?
That looks like a neat set up you got there
thanks! No credit to me though, I bought this fixture, but it does work very well! I do intend to build my next one for sure and I think a variation on this format would really be a good idea. I have seen a few sites that sell extruded aluminum channel in various shapes that would serve the purpose. I need to do more research on it though as price is pretty important or else you may as well just buy one!

Check out tnutz.com I think it what cait's called. They have some alum framing and fasteners to slide and all kinds of stuff. Decent price too. Compared to lowes or home depot alum u channel and whatnot.

sorry for the lines I took the photo was taken by iPhone. The purpose is to show an interesting feature that Fluence incorporates. Note the screw, the extrusion has grooves spaced for threads. That’s pretty darn cleaver! You can slide the screw anywhere up and down the track!

Oops on the double picture thingy! I checked out tnutz, yeah that’s the shit! Not sure if they are US only but the devalued Canadian peso makes cross border shopping pretty shitty what with duty and taxes etc.

Oh yeah I didnt know you were up north. Yeah its expensive to ship to Canada from the states. I mailed a package today for someone up north. Usps priority mail was 37.50 to ship something that weighed more grams maybe 30 grams at most not counting the box. I almost shit myself when she said it was that much. So went regular snail mail. Ridiculous to be that much to mail something the size of a video game or DVD case.

Yeah and when you buy from a company in the states, they need to specify the contents and value, there is a classification the item goes in and the assess the duty and taxes as well as a brokerage fee! The recipient receives a bill in the mail at a later date on top of shipping etc. It’s terrible! My business buys many things from the States throughout the year and we’ve been forced to find other sources for things to control costs.
