This isn't a big yielder strain, but certainly the biggest individual colas I have seen it grow.
Consider I use the cheapest nutes you can get, about $8 for 5 pounds worth of dry chemical salts. I go over to an organic feed towards the end, but that is only cause I don't want to taste pharmacy weed.

Good job scrapping the fancy expensive branded fertilizers and getting back to basics. I think hybridway2 said he was paying around $1k per run on nutes alone which I hope he can move on from at some point.

Beneficial microbes also help into the later parts of flower to get you those nice flavors.

Can't disagree with a thing you said. Although I start my microbe work basically as soon as they root.
I also used pretty little nutes, I stuck to the schedule up to week 5 I think, then I reverted back to week 4 and week 3 doses before going half dose organic feed. And I have now been throwing distilled water at them whenever they look thirsty enough.

You can even start beforehand if re-using medium. Works well with myco (the existing herd will latch onto the new plant roots) and nitrogen fixation bacterium. Just hold off on hitting them hard with salts; as you said, you don't have to use as much anyhow.

Adding a bit of sugar to your distilled water might help a bit too.

I reuse my coco after rinsing it a bit. Hit it with a bit of mykos granules, and water in thrichoderma along with some aquarium filter microbes and vermicompost.
with seeds (I use clones), it is actually the microbes that the primary root comes in contact with that relays the message that here is food, grow hard now, rather than the actual nutrients themselves. They had a bit of molasses two waterings back. The bigger girls are still to show any sign of aging or going pale. I'm really in two minds if I should harvest. I know the effect we get at this stage, but I think it might be better smoke with a bit more maturation. We normally cut at 52 days, last time was 50 days under the COBs. I can't find any yellow trichomes yet, and the pistils are about 50 50 white/brown.

Hmmm, aquarium filter microbes, never thought of looking at those, good one.

These plants were brought back from being nearly dead 2" clones, I think less than 32 out of 120 rooted clones survived when they were dropped off here without any hardening off, during a heatwave.
I kept 2 and struck clones, the little plant on the side is a clone that I kept as a backup plant. What controls the plant size is the size of the pot. I wouldn't mind a 2x2x2 pot.

Lol, I'm growing my first nug in a tube :) I sent you the pic, its about twice the size now, but the colour spectrum of a zebra due to me not really paying attention to the nute levels.
I just wanted to see if you could root a clone under 12/12 in the tube.

So what kind of dry nutes are you using?

Hi guys been reading through these threads and it's a ton of info. I'm leaning towards strips for better light uniformity over a scrog. I'm looking to cover a 4x8 space. I'm between the F series and EB (assuming I can find them).

I'm figuring I need about 960w (4*8*30) to get 30w a square foot or 1120 (4*8*35) for 35. I was thinking about 25 of the 4ft EB strips 3k and 4k (or 50 of the 2 footers) so I can veg and flower. Was wondering what the best driver combo would be? Also, does anyone have any insight on the 35k strips? They're currently $12.3699 on arrow.

I have a 600h-54b and 320h-48b i can use but not sure if they'll work well together or should I just spring for 2 480h-48 (a or b)?

Silly question, does it matter which way I run the lights (parallel or perpendicular to the entrance of my room?)

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! :bigjoint:

I have started jarring up the first batch of colas that I hung out to dry.
I am happy to report that the lights not only paid for themselves but also for the other 700W worth of strips and drivers.
And I still have quite a bit to wait on, on the drying line.

I am tired after a week of trimming, but very satisfied.

I also have enough trim to do a bubble hash run.
