LED lights

I have been growing one auto Sour Diesel under a 1000 watt Bestva. She is about 50 days old.and is a bushy plant covered in Baby buds but seems to have stalled out. The buds do not wanna fatten up and lots of little pistols that don't wanna grow. I wonder is it the light? I see it only draws 185 watts from the wall and that seems weak. Has anyone ever grown under a 1000 Watt LED? Im new to the indoor tent and light situation and no nothing about LED lights. I

How far above your canopy do you have your lights?

185 watts isn’t bad for 1 plant, it isn’t exactly great either considering you are in flower mode. But I would put the light 12-18 inches from the top to supply as much light as possible, and just observe the plant to make sure it’s not being burned.

It'll work ok. Probably covers a 2ft x 2ft area
About 15" - 18" away for flowering going by their par map.
12" is quite close.
600 - 800 umols for flowering. You can give a plant too much light
How many hours of light are you giving the plant?

I think all three would work or at least two at 12" above canopy. When you set that up.. hold your hand, palm side down right above the highest part of the plants canopy. Hold there for 20 or 30 seconds. If it's uncomfortable then it's too close.

I run a similar light. 235 true watt blurple & a SF-1000 both around 10-12" away. The plant will show signs of distress if it's too close. Don't be afraid that you're going to kill it. Its not a hps hot bulb. You wont fry your leaves. Observe your plants daily to see how they react to the lights.

When you put led 6” above the canopy you will get light burn instantly, not by heat but by intensity of the light. Your buds will get white and leaves yellow. There is no hand-feeling adjusting, just follow the producers manual, begin with the higher distance and go slowly down and watch your plants. When you notice something weird go step back and this is your distance. 12” is on the edge still.

I waz thinking of running a 1500 watt highgrow with a 300 watt power draw AND a 1000 watt Bestva with a 185 watt power draw. I wonder would that b sufficient for 3 plants in a 3x3 tent. Or would it b cheaper to run 1 LED with a power draw of around 385/400 watts ??

Thats 485 watts. If placed in the correct height, you could be getting around 50w/sqf
Thats what you're looking for.
I couldn't find the 1500 model. Only the 2000 one. 2000 = 400 watts for only 180.00. Thats not bad at all. Probably the most watts you'll get for the money. Not a fan of the blurps anymore but I may look into one for some serious side/under lighting.

Thank you for tbe input. It seems there is just so much misleading info on LEDs. Even the Amazon reviews I read seem very misleading. Like budding multiple plants under a 600 watt...

Look at HLG, SF-1000 - 4000, MarsHydro, Gavita. If you're interested in going on alibaba.com they have some cheap options from china on some good quantum boards. Samsung diodes and Mean well drivers are what most people are looking at. LED companies put misleading advertisements on their products to lure new growers (myself included). Amazon is probably the worse. Don't believe the reviews on there, half of them are probably not even reviews for the product you're looking at. Most of these companies buy bulk from b2b and b2c sites like alibaba and just have them slap their logo on it and sell it for triple than what they paid for it. It really just depends on the route you wanna go.

Start referring to your lights by the actual draw. It's not a 1000 watt Bestva. It's a 185 watt Bestva.
See thats exactly what Im talking about. How can a light b considered a 1000 watt when it only draws 185 watt?? I notice they do say 1000 watt LED power but what does that even mean??

If I ever buy another I definitely will check out those u mentioned. Thanku for the info. They sure got me. I bought 3 different types of LED. First was a 600 watt FSG tek thinking it would bud several plants in a 4x4 tent then moved to the 1000 Bestva then the "1500 watt" Highgrow. Now Im outta money for lights lol. What a fool. But Im learning.

Those you have will still produce. I’d keep em around 12-15 inches away. Keep temps in low 80’s with led. If you see your plants responding in a negative way, which I’m sure you shouldn’t, just back away by an inch or two until things smooth out.
