LED help Platinum P1200 good or bad ?

You suck at life for bringing an old thread like this back up from the dead. You could have just left it in whatever RIU graveyard you found it.

BTW - They don't have a "good spectrum"
aren't you just a ray of sunshine. You weren't even in this thread. Talking about life...do you just stalk rollitup threads all day waiting for people to comment on old threads to make yourself look cool?
This info would be handy btw for any thinking of buying platinum lights.
Just cause a thread is old doesn't mean it's worthless. Its like saying a thread on how to fish or be a mechanic for say is worthless after a couple years. When truly it can relevant and help people for decades.
If i seen the info I posted years ago I'd never had bought these lights.
After much info and research these seemed good at the time. Thier spectrum is great btw. Your just one angry lost puppy. Much love tho bro have a great weekend. :p

Those lights are a joke and no where near a 1k hps. The spectrum is trash they’re built on old tech and they still aren’t innovating a thing. CLW and black dog are a few others I wouldn’t take if they gave them to me. Roi ain't bad at all the 720’s I’m able to get for around 775. this thread should have on,y been brought back to warn others they're junk and don’t waste your time, money, or electricity. Sorry you got duped but don’t say they have a good spectrum that’s just false info.

Yes agreed P900s are crap compared to the E680 or E720 with no fans in them which also weigh alot less. Why I came here to warn others as there isn't much info out there even to this day on these lights and thank you for your understanding. I did screw up buying these only cause the fact of the fans that are internal, the fact they wiegh so...dang much and the fact that they burn out rows of diodes on the boards in a year or more. Which I just found this out since I now have 2 with many diodes burnt out. Not to mention the hassles of shipping them out for warranty is a pain. Unlike growers choice E-series lights which can just be swapped out instantly.
But....a P900 is better than an hps. Tested one for a year before replacing all my 1000w hps hoods. The P900 did the same or better. The P900 was so strong is was turning tops completely white. Had to moved it higher. Was getting the same yields with the 1 P900 as I was with 1 hps 1000watt. Went from 6 hps in a room to 3 P900s with rails after testing. Same great yields as always. Shoot I had KC jones that was so big I had 4 tops that made a 1/2lb bag. 2oz each. So the spectrum might not be the best but they sure did the job well.
Best part though was no more fans with ducting everywhere and less power needed for them and the AC unit as was needed with the old school hps 1000watt lights. In all they still beat hps. From power saved and less labor of cleaning hoods or worries of an exhaust fan burning up and frying a whole room when not home as with hps I would worry when I got home a room might be 110degrees.
In all they have paid themselves off already from eletric bill to labor as time is money. But an LED should last longer than a year and for the price they should just send new ones. Not force us to ship them half way across the country for repairs and wait.
I read tons on LEDs before buying these. But there was little info on them longterm and being LEDs are still kinda new there still aren't many forums talking about long term issues. Though lightrails being another topic they suck as well. They say 75lbs capacity but these P900s wieghing 30lbs beat the rails up. A year after use the rails are getting wore out. Sweakin n poppin. Never had this issue with my 1000watt MH lights on light rails in my veg rooms.
Also not many if any LEDs hit the deep red ir spectrum as Platinums do. From what Ive read or seen on yt that is. Though with all the benefits of growers choice lights even if less red it doesn't matter if the yields are just as good.

Bullshit. Bullshit. Bullshit.

A P900 is a 550 watt blurple. Blurples, watt for watt, produce the same output as a standard HID. They aren't magic, Brofessor. Sorry. There is no way on planet earth that a 550w blurp produced the same as a 1k HID. It never happened, unless user fail came into the equation.

You seriously suck at life for attempting to push false information in a public forum. Go away. Everybody hates you.

Around here platinum is thought of as a purveyor of sub par products, with deceptive advertising and dated technology. The main Pled guy is wildly full of crap with some of the claims he makes. You can however grow decent flowers with their gear. you'll just be over paying and rewarding slimy marketers. Thete is a thread devoted to giving advice for led customers.
I have a 350 dollar light that keeps up with their 1000 dollar light all day long.

The.philzon 600 watt cob will keep up with 1000 watt.hps no problem. It was an upgrade imo over hps. I save electric and there isnt any heat to worry about.
Nice! I did a bit of research on those. But as much goes in life you get what you pay for. Though learning when it comes to LEDs that logic kinda gets thrown out the window.
I will go for grower choice E series next as the grow shop I use will replace them when bad no questions asked. Plus the par tests on yt look promising.
Ty for the advice. If the E series test can't compete to my P900s yield wise I will investigate those philzons.
Though as stated P900s did just as good as a hps. So they did pay themselves off. Just long term and weight wise thier are better lights out there.

Nice to see my prediction come true, not that you had to go through using a pos light though. Wonder why I would suggest it's a piece of shit before ever even needing to see it? Because I bought the same kind of garbage at first too. It's not like I gain anything from suggesting someone get a different light. But then people get their beliefs all wrapped up in their purchase like that matters at all and then they get butthurt when I disagree with them.

Holy hell are you serious. Those philzon’s or @FlatOutFoggin wont out grow a 1000w hps and damn sure won’t a de fixture. What happened is y’all had issues your got less heat load and were able to do better. There are stellar leds that will out grow hps and de fixtures easy but y’all haven’t been using them. Get better at growing and dial everything in better and then come back.

Also stop listening to those dipshits on YouTube most if not all of them are there to get you to buy shit you don’t need and generally are sponsored. Their growing skill and advice are at most laughable and give out more bro science then the 70’s books written about growing.

word... the truth hurts and most can't handle the truth. Wished I'd had not bought them. But not scared to say they blow compared to other LEDs today. Live n learn. But imo any LEDs beat freaken oldschool hot ass bulky ac sucking hps or mh lights. had a hps blow up on me one time that was not cool neither.
Shoot I even bought some super cheap amazon lights for my garage. Tested them on veg plants for fun. They're doing as good as a 1000watt super blue mh. after years of buying those $250 bulbs. Smh...

Oh I got everthing dialed in homie. Nobody out of many I know growing can compare to my yields and quality. When I go to a club jaws drop. Most my friends get upset at my bud sizes. But they never change. Growing is like a religion. Once someone believes in a certain way they stop looking for better ways. I have tried many things and nutes over the years. Lights were my last change/update needed.
I have an oldschool horticultural Bible btw. Thing is ancient I don't believe everything I see on yt. But a par test is a par test.

Sounds like you’re doing it wrong if that’s the case. Stop lying to yourself and fix your main issues. Mainly sounds like environment Issues. You still need air movement, still want temp control.

My temps are perfect as is humidity and air flow. Not sure why you think this is my issue since all I have an issue with with these LEDs was the wieghts of them, the boards burning out rows of LEDs in one year, and thier warranty hassles. The P900s rocked other than that. Believe what you will bud. I know they rocked while they lasted though the worry of internal fans burning up was also a risk I dreaded.

I’ve used all sorts of lights and can tell you those p900’s or any of their lights won’t out grow a 1000watt. Those were all over Michigan they were trash a guy wanted me to try them in my grow and I refused. quality leds will out grow a 1k but those and most from Amazon won’t. I’m given a lot of lighting because Theres always someone that wants into big grows. Very few lights have impressed me. So when you switch to inferior lighting like the ones you have or stuff like philzon and say you have better results makes me think environment wasn't as controlled as you think. I’m not here to hate I’m here to educate and help. I have some actual real world experience doing this for myself on a professional level.
