Link them if you can. Then we can see.

Its around a dollar a watt to build although I think you can do it cheaper these days and about 1.5 dollar per watt ish for pre made fixtures unless they are Chinese.
You want around 30w per square foot.

As an example https://horticulturelightinggroup.com/products/260w-qb-v2-led-kit
Though that's a board kit not a strip build, same tech.
Check out http://ledgardener.com/diy-led-strip-build-designs-samsung-bridgelux/
I think the prices have come down since then but he gives you the part numbers which you can google and get a current prices.
Look at this on eBay

Looks like the ones you guys DIY

Im sure they will grow great but I don't think they are the genuine article. They say HLG in the title but don't have HLG printed on the boards. The heat sink is certainly not standard.
If you buy them you need two of them for a 2x4 tent. so its $270, the genuine product from HLG is on sale at $330.
I know lots of folks running the Chinese copies and having good results, but for $60 difference I would be picking up the real thing.

Im not against folks saving money but for me its peace of mind. If you want to spend less then DIY with genuine strips from genuine retailers.
This guy on ebay is just reselling Chinese copies and when you take the heat sink out of the price he's selling them at the same price as the genuine article. He wont be importing the heat sinks due to the weight.

Just harvested my first grow of 2 plants a special queen and special kush from rqs I used 2 less at a total of 1600w but that's led watts in normal watts it's about 275w anyway I got 62.56g from my queen and 117.29g from my kush I'm happy with that but feel like I should have had bigger colas!?!?. So I'm think of changing my light source to either 600w metal halide or hps to see if that changes anything. Attached is my harvest from my kushView attachment 4220070
Congratulations buddy! A 600 MH / HPS will certainly up the yield, enjoy!

Considering I've been an HID grower for 40 years and I'm switching over to all LED's must mean something.

What are these red and blue lights and how do you run them? I need some info on that. Like the set-up.

By the way how does that itty bitty pots support those big heavy plants? Are they in coco or soil?

Simple Samsung strip build. 9 strips ran by a HLG-240H-24B, The supplemental are Rapid LED XP-E XP-E2 in photo-red HE, red-orange, far-red. Semileds for the uv.

No, Cree xpe's in photo-red from Rapid led.
Trolls don't bother me, I laugh every time i pull a unit from a true 270 watts of led's.
Even without supplemental lighting they perform.

That space is a 3x3, 75-78 degrees lights on 68-70 off. I run between 50-60% RH in flower.
