so im growing 4 clones. Until 2 weeks ago it went very smoothly... It was then that i had som over fertilizing problems, i followed that with very thorough flushing over the next 3 waterings. After that i noticed the dying of some leaves and figured it was from the nute burn... however it is still getting worse even after the flush. I use The fox farm trio. After the flush i gave a little Grow big because i noticed a little N def. and here i am. I dont know weather to go back to the Tiger bloom, and the big bloom or weather i need to adjust my PH....

Thanks to the plant diagnosis thread. i think i may be having a P deficiency, but it could also be nute lockout... What do u thinkg??? what should i do???

Thanks a lot for the help

im not sure right now i water with distiled water which has a PH of 7, and the ferts i use say formulated with a low PH... i dont know how low, but i figure that it should come out in the low 6s' which isnt too bad... right? are the rapitest capsules good enough or do i need to get a meter. cuz i cant really afford it now. thanks

lol...Now hold on a second. You're not pHing your nute solution? They say that's it's formulated with a low pH and they mean it! NO WAY is it coming out at low 6pH. If you're using foxfarm and not pHing your solution, that stuff is around a pH of low to mid 4!

You really need to get a meter. All your problems are due to you not properly pHing your nute solution. It looks like a P deficiency to me as well, but that's just because your pH isn't in the proper range for your plant to uptake P.

you want to be shooting for a ph around 6.8.... i would wager that you are using something similar to earthjuice, and it is lowering your ph, thus making your soil too acidic and possibly locking out other nutrients....

OK. Thanks a lot guys. I was hoping i wouldnt need a meter but i guess ill have to get one. Are the cheap ones accurate enough???

Recently i have been watering with just plain water... and now a little grow big which has a good PH. so should they bounce back a little or will the soil PH remain low until i add a PH UP solution. how badly did this hurt my plants? Thanks guys.

go to the hydro store.....they have a little bottle you fill halfway up with water then you put a couple drops in....

its the cheapest like $10 and they sell complete kits with ph up and down for around $20

I would just get the drops to test PH because it's the cheapest. It is usually like a test kit with a solution you put into a test vial with your water and they come with a color chart to compare to.

thanks everybody... If i have been watering with straight distilled water (7.0) should the PH be corrected by now... I think ive notices slowing of the dying leaves. But before i use the tiger bloom again i will make sure i Ph my water/fert before watering

so i got a rapitest pHmeter for about 20 bucks. I PH'd my watering solution.. which was a wery light mix of Distilled water tiger bloom and big bloom, and a tiny bit of grow big. The Ph was about perfect just slightly under 7. So i dont know what the deal is... I know the tiger bloom has a ph of 4.0. but since it was such a light mix the ph of the water was still close to 7... Will the acidity build up in the soil and eventually cause a lockout is that how it works??? Thanks

i really dont know the answer to that question bro.... i THINK that chemical ferts can have that effect; thats why i asked what the ph of your RUNOFF water was. Test that and see how it comes out.... that will answer your question, (this one at least) for sure.

well ya see... before i bought the PH meter i flushed A LOT... so if there was any acidic build up its not there anymore... I believe this is how it works and as long as i periodically flush, and dont use too much tiger bloom every watering i should be good. thanks everybody!!! i think i solved my problem... for now atleast well see if i have anympre PH issues. still open to suggestions though.

how do you know though??? have you checked the ph of your runoff?? thanks for avoiding my question... why ask for help, you seem to have everything covered?

YES i did check my runoff thats why i said if there was any acidic build up it is not there anymore... obviously i checked it how else would i know it wasnt there?the runoff ph was just below 7. and i did want elp that is WHY i asked. you helped me answer my question and i already thanked you for it... i dont like this negative shit... what the fuck did i do?

wasnt trying to be a complete asshole.... just have to look at the last two posts..... there are plenty of people that want to ask questions but still do it their own way.... you were looking like one.. i apologize:oops:
