How wet is the soil, if you stick your finger all the way down in it? A good way to tell when water is need, if the soil is starting to pull away from the sides of the container and is light in colour.
Also, am i supposed to only water around the stem OR all over the whole pot, at the moment i just do the stem. But i mist the leaves every couple of hours (i heard this helps? Does it? or am i just wasting time?)

I guess that's out of the question lol, concerning spraying or misting, I wouldn't recommend it specially if they appear healthy, I think most people spray their plants is to foil feed them, I would only water them when needed and would give them a good watering each time, meaning the hole pot/soil not just around the stem but that's only my opinion.

I dont know the temps but i stick frozen bottles of water in there to cool it down (reminds me actually i need to change them). By clean, i use tap water (same as water i water with). I dont know the PH. I might get some PH strips and start using evian and also a thermometer...What PH? What Temp? And is Evian/Volvic good? (any brand prefernces (im in the UK))

Do you have any fans in there for circulation? I would recommend if you don't.
PH for soil should be around 7. ( I thnk, not 100% sure on that #). Tempps hould remain stable, with some circulation.

You gotta make sure that water is ph'd first.

Saturate your pots, then leave them.
Do not mist the leaves... under heavy lights the water droplets will boil and kill the part of the leaf... which will eventually cause brown spots (necrophil, or something like that) on your leaves.
Plain tap water is fine, but as chiceh said... you need to ph this water after you've added your nutes. Or even if you just feed plain water (no nutes), you still need to ph down (usually). In soil the best ph range is 6.5-7.0.
Digital ph pens are the best, and you can buy these off ebay.

It's hard to go in any of my grow areas atm, as i have plasterers fitting me a new ceiling in the kitchen. I just had a quick peek, and all it says on the pen is, F11 waterproof digital PH pen.
I got mine a while ago now, cost me around £20 ($40)... max, including delivery. I also got my truncheon for £11 inc delivery... it was on auction and I snuck in and won it in the last 2 seconds... what a buzz.

The only thing with the ph pen is that you have to make sure you keep the end probe thing in a solution. If it goes dry, you're fucked and have to get a new one.

First test your water you have there (you have the correct amount of nutes in the water right?). Depending on the ph, adjust accordingly up or down. On the bottle of PH up and PH down you bought (right?).
