looks like overwatering to me, btw overwatering isn't how much water you use, soak those suckers as much as possible, its how long you let your soil dry before you water again. I water with a gal of water per 7 gal plant every 4 to 5 days but i live in a humid environment.

looks like you need some perlite in your mix bro.
air+roots=good buddies.

this definately could be the problem, i let the soil dry before watering again, but had overwatering problems a while ago and so ive never really gotten back to giving them lots of water at once instead of more frequent watering with less amounts. thanks for the help!

i dont know, it is in the same size pot as many other much larger plants who seem to be fine
