Bleach at. 35ml per gallon for sanitation maintenance.
Watering 1x a day for 30 seconds.

Got the mama plants picked out and vegging under a 600w mh bulb. They seem to be loving it. I've always used hps for veg if not t5 lighting, only occasionally used mh. I like it much better than hps, that's for sure. They are getting 1.2ec of v+b and are in 7" pots of mini cubes. I sprinkled some great white on the top when I transplanted and watered it in. I don't have much info if it helped or didn't. 6.2ph for the nute soup.

I have 2/3 trays of cuts getting their veg on in party cups right now but will be transplanting this week into 7" pots of mini cubes. They are also getting 1.2ec of v+b at 6.2 pH. I chopped these in half because they were lanky and tall from being in a crowded tray but should bush out during their veg nicely and be ready for the flip in 5 weeks.

The 3rd tray will be filled for veg with something new on Wednesday when I go clone hunting :) the left side of the flower room will be Bubba kush, animal cookies and a mystery strain.. We shall find out which strain soon. I myself can't wait to find out because I love new flavors. I also dropped 10 beans into germination, Crypteen x animal cookies and animal cookies x cherry pie. These will be tested in a small tent with a 600w hps.

Coincidence- Just tonight I was talking to a couple of guys about using a 600W MH for veg because I'm so happy with how the 1K HPS is doing..........

Thanks for the confirmation. Do you think the 600W MH is too much for a 3x3 tent?

@Aeroknow dude. Remember when I said it would be cool if I could buy all the electric the solar panels make for the 15 cents a kwh? It's legit! Ha!! Just checking out the previous bills and there's some with 1400kwh a month on them at 15 cents a kwh, that's literally 1/2 my grow, which means Ill only have to pay for 1500kwh at 20-25 cents to pge :) in the winter not so much, but in the summer, the solar makes 2400kwh sometimes 7+ lights worth of electric these panels make, insane!

I think for small plants, yes, for my mamas I'm using the 600 over a 4x4 tray in a 5x5 tent, but for flower, I'll be using a 600w in a 3x3 tent o yes and no ;)

Sick as brother, all your girls are looking on point. I'm just so impressed with your new setup hey, looks awesome! Wicked news about the electricity too bro? That works out real well :)
With the MH, I used to only use MH for veg and flower, while I lost out (only marginally) on yield, the trichome coverage was far superior to the hps! They veg like a demon too, be prepared for some crazy growth lol

I'm really stoked about the solar panels! It's pretty much 1/2 the cost of our electric company costs, and when I pay the panels off, oh man, it'll save me 1000s a year :) I've heard that from people who used mh for flower, I even hear of some doing a mix of mh and hps in flower for the best of both worlds, I haven't tried that yet, but if I was to go down that road I think I'd choose led or cmh

One more day left of odds and ends and then I just have to put together the dtw buckets and plumbing, build a pvc manifold and trellis frames!! :D

Ill be using 4 port drip manifolds, which will drip for 2 plants, I'll have a water shut off below each of the manifolds. I'll be using 4" floraflex caps, each with 2 1/4" open ended drip lines. Each light will have stationary (I won't be able to change it which sucks, but whatever) 12 plants per light, as I'll be plumbing 12 buckets per light, so I won't be able to do more than 12, but I'd be able to do less which I probably won't, but meh, it's OK. I'd like to do 15 occasionally but it is what it is.

Love the setup. Looks clean and professional.

On the exhaust fans, the elbows, are those the rotating type? Do you tape the seams with metal duct tape?

It might allow a place for smell to bypass the filters. Might not be a problem but it would worry me.

Thank you much appreciated! The 2 exhaust fans on the cieling are taped and sealed, but the two intake fans on the wall, those have rotating elbows, they aren't taped yet just because I'm waiting to get the other half of the room filled with plants so I can angle them properly as to not blow on the plants, after I get the plants in and the elbows shifted to the proper angle, then I'll be taping them

100% Germination rate, 10/10 in 24 hours. Time to go hunting! Animal cookies x cherry pie and Crypteen x animal pie, by in house genetics.

My germination process is simple and is as followed.

Step 1. Fold a paper towel in halves a few times, leave it big enough to put all your seeds on it and be able to fold it in half one more time.

Step 2. Wet the paper towel with warm water, not hot or cold.

Step 3. Press out most water but leave it wet/damp.

Step 4. Place the beans on one side of the paper towel and fold it over them so they are completely covered.

Step 5. Press between palms gently to create a good seal around the beans.

Step 6. Place the paper towel in a zip loc bag.

Step 7. Place ziploc bag in a Tupperware container.

Step 8. Place in a cabinet that is dark and warm.

Lots of steps, but it all takes about a minute. I always get a 100% germination rate with this method, and with how expensive seeds are, this is the way I feel works the best. rps20161003_170930.jpg

LMAO dont ever buy any piece of shit seeds from Greenhouse seeds then, your rate will drop. A while ago they had their seeds colored with some shit and they wouldnt pop in paper towels, none at all. In the dirt they apparently would, but not pt's. I tossed 15 seeds away bc they wouldnt pop

Damnnn that would piss me right off!! Good knowledge right there though, but wtf, why would they color the seeds? Jesus, I bet what ever they colored them with created a barrier so moisture can't get in the seed when they are in storage or something, but that's so damn dumb, I've never heard of that before lol
