Ive started learning more acoustic lately, and im actually loving it.
im used to playing electric, example of some songs i play
Seize the day - avenged sevenfold (solo)
hearts burst into fire - bullet for my valentine (my ringtone hehehe)
dont cry - guns n roses

now some acoustic ive been playing, john mayer, i just started learning eric claptons tears in heaven. its all more intricate and at points complicated, theres more to guitar than i realised as i continue learning!
any good song suggestions that i should consider learning?
i have a true passion for music and guitar, and hope to do more writing and meet more fellow musicians at univercity.

That's dope man, any tutorials you can suggest for a beginner? I've had an acoustic guitar for 6 years now and never touch it!

yeah i like that jack johnson idea thanks... i think im gonna get more into that, because im really into john mayer, guess i never got around to checkin out jack johnson hah thanks :)

and fireK i suggest getting a starters book, they teach you basic chords and stuff, try to learn as much theory as you can also, as painful as it is. im lucky enough to have a grandma who used to be a music teacher, so she has her learner books she gave me. i dont think they cost much though, hell, you could probly find one free somewhere or even online. i just like having the paper so i can sit on my bed in my room and play.
also print out chord charts , try loooking up bob marley, no woman no cry chords. its not hard to play, and very fun. once you get used to that theres lots of more intricate and fun things to play like tears in heaven, eric clapton!
have fun!
