Leafs turning yellow

Could some one please help? This is my first attempt at growing and I have encountered my first problem. My leafs have spots of yellow on some areas and it is fuller in others. It has not taken over the whole plant just some of the mature leaves while some of the newer foliage still has a rich green to it. the yellow tends to stay away from the central veins of the leaf sticking to the centers of the leaf. I have checked many forums and my plant doesn't resemble others withering yellow crap shoots. Some suggest root rot but i have checked and the roots are healthy and thick I have transplanted the plant to a newer pot since some said that the roots may be touching the sides of the pot and it was but since the transplant it hasn't gotten better. this was about two weeks ago and i haven't noticed any change.

These are frustrating to diagnose because sometimes symptoms look the same for different deficiencies. I'd guess either a Magnesium deficiency - or a Zinc deficiency. If you haven't looked already, this guide can be helpful:

Could you post a pic of the whole plant? Might help with diagnosis.

i would say zinc or iron , could be mag def tho... what u need to do is goto your local hydro or garden shop on pickup some trace elements "Additive" micro and macro elements etc.. u can get it in powder or liquid form... start adding that and it should turn around
