The plant is 3 weeks old in a mixture of ocean forest and light warrior soil. the pH is ~7 in the soil. It is 14inches from a 180w LED the temps are between 76-84 and humidity about 50%. here are some pics!

Ocean forest is pretty heavy in nutrients no? Maybe the lighter soil was better to start in. At any rate, besides the tips the plant is green and moderately healthy looking, so I'd go with the safer rout of sticking with aged tapwater until you notice uniform healthy new growth.

is aged tap water preferred to distilled water? I have no problem buying a gallon or two of distilled water to help this girl out a bit.

the only nutrients are the ones in the soil, im not feeding it anything

you tap water is fine no need in buying water, if the tap water ph is to high or low that can be a prob though but you plant looks fine besides the burn so i think the ph is ok. its most likely from the soil being to hot for the small plant and it got a nute burn it happins alot with FFOF. your plant will be fine just continue what you are doing.
has it spread at all

It has not spread, and at the moment it is the only of the plants with that issue. I have pH up and down to adjust the water accordingly, so getting the pH to be right shouldn't be an issue. I'm acctually going to water them today (now). Also, for my own knowledge, what should my soil meter read when I know its time to water? There are three levels, Dry, Moist, Wet. they have a few millimeters of space between as a guide of "how dry", "how moist" and "how wet". Should I allow it to ever get to dry? or water right before it is leaving moist? IDK! help!
