nope those are not leaf miners.. im not sure what they are tho.
this is what the damage looks like from leaf miners.. http://www.gi.alaska.edu/ScienceForum/ASF17/1753pic2.jpg
woahhh wait a minute... i just now saw the larvae in the first pic. it looks like a small caterpillar. KILL THAT BITCH!!!! just squish it, no need for insecticides.
well i suggest u get some insecticide asap... BT is what is mostly used against caterpillars.. http://www.homeharvest.com/bt.htm
if you cant get that i would go with pyrethrum, kills just about every bug on contact. the BT takes 2-3 days to work tho.
make sure theres no way bugs are getting in from outside.
Any products that are sold locally that contain pyrethrum? Now that you mention it, the larger "larvea" are turning green and resemble caterpillars. So thanks for the advice!
Glad you're getting it resolved. I just picked up some stuff to deal with my leaf miners today. Let us know how it goes!
well if you have a wallgreens in your area, thats where i got some Shultz houseplant and garden insect spray. that stuff works pretty good for me. any garden section should carry it.
in the mean time, keep squishing!!
Alright, thanks bro, and will do!
Hola ganjaartist, glad you stopped by. Yeah from what I can tell it does resemble caterpillars. So what did you end up going with for yours?
I got some GardenSafe insecticide soap. I haven't seen any bugs since I sprayed it...but I'll let you know.
Got some permethrin today, couldn't find pyrmethrin. Hopefully this will do the trick. Thanks!
