im growing hydroponicly and im feeding a 18-20-20 solution leaves are turning yellow and brown I need to know does that come from over feeding or is it something else please help:cry:

no idea man, i wish these people would reply back at my stuff. i got some pictures of em kinda turnin yellowish brown, but nobody says a damn so i gotta fuckin experiment by myself.

i went to these other forums and they said they were getting burnt, but i dunno...i still think i added too much water or maybe its the nutes, but i dunno...can the nutes travel thru the hydro rock medium into the rockwool? i don't think so, so u are probably over watering, the heat or nutes is dmging em.

i wish i could be helpful, but i'm on my first grow too and risking ur plants is one way of finding out (may take a million seeds).

good luck and hopefully people will respond to you one day...

oh and how often do you water em, what kind of light and how far away is it from the plants?

if water can go thru a medium, water with a nute solution can also. chill, how old are they? what is your nute strength? how close is your lighting? what is your lighting source? it either sounds like nute burn or heat burn.

the lights are hps and about 18 inches from the topand i was feeding an 18-20-20 nutrient solution and the plants are about 6 weeks old.

Well, I don't like that NPK mix. It's equal parts, and that is not particularly good for either stage of growth of pot plants. That said, if you aren't overdoing it, it shouldn't hurt. Keep the temperature right and good air flow and hope they improve. If they don't, then start over.

HTH

...if your 18-20-20 is a one part powder nute you are not getting enough calcium and magnesium...early deficiencies are small twisty new growth and a general yellowing through out...

...either get a two part hydro nute or get some water soluable dolomite lime and add a few scoops to your res...results should appear within a few days...
