I switched to Great White from Hydroguard....longer shelf life and seems to be an all-round cheaper option. Not to mention that Great White has a much larger array of bennies, including the one that Hydroguard primarily consists of.

I'm fighting with 70%ish RH right now because my cab is at the mercy of outdoor weather. It's in my garage. Costco sells a plug-in dehumidifier I'm going to give a shot. I started my grow first 3.5 weeks around 35-40% RH until I was able to adjust the fan and ventilation combo just right to allow it to creep to 50% it's been raining for days which is why I've got this going on. Don't stress about RH to much though. Mold grows in a stagnant and still environment. Keep that air moving, play with fans and ventilation exchange a little and you may be able to gain 5-10% higher RH w/o humidifier.
Will do mate will keep playing its 35/40 without at the moment not turned it on now for a couple of days. Thanks for the info sorry for late reply never got email notification for some reason.

One thing I learned is reflectix is good for its purpose, insulation/reflective but struggles with salt residue. Eats through the reflective material and exposes the bubble insulation in some areas. I'm going to use something different my next go. For you, use what you have on hand first before you go buying other stuff. What you have may work just fine. The purpose is to keep the heat from being absorbed. Reflection is not important directly underneath the plant itself as it'll have no real effect on your plant. Underside of leaves do not absorb light, you're just trying to keep the heat off the hydroton.

First time with hydroguard, I feel it's good and works. It has a 6 month shelf life though once opened. I've done some research and spoke with a few growers who swear by Southern AG fungicide. More concentrated and has longer lasting affects than HG according to what I've read. I'm going to purchase this next for my next grow so I recommend it but don't have personal experience with it. I think it's cheaper than hydroguard to, might have to cross check that though.

Keep us posted on your changes. Always interested to see results on different ideas.
Brilliant will look into it, and yeah ill keep you posted, delayed a bit on changin the res covers, cutting the wood up this afternoon. I was just thinking... wouldnt tin foil work l as a cover due to it being tin? gues this would heat up quick actually and conduct the heat even more. Silly idea lol

Will try the blackout sheeting upside down first see how i get on, will change the water today aswell, measure the temp and watch how it rises.

Thanks for input mate, great info

Yeah I wouldn't use tin foil. There's another alternative if those sheets don't work out. Depending where you live, there are these things called emergency blankets or emergency thermal blankets that you can get at the dollar store. Most are made of Mylar, used in extreme cold/hot conditions, waterproof etc. Super cheap and effective at insulating and reflecting heat.

So my mate is convinced that synptoms of heat stress can be caused by my water temp being too high, he has had this before. This would make sence as my tent aint hot and aint been hot at all. Iv still taken measure incase it is due to the heat from the lights but now i really want to concentrate on getting my water temp down.

As i have 3 tanks will be tricky using a chiller im guessing, is it ok to throw ice cubes in there dailly?

Far from dead...cannabis is incredibly resilient.
100% mate, Far from dead! Picking up two chillers tomorrow off a friend to get the res temps down on two of my warmer tanks, and the other tank rea temp is only 21.5 degrees as aposed to 24/26 degrees like the other two, this is due to the Air Con blowing toward that one, as i only have two chillers i can borrow i will just be alternating a couple of ice block in that one daily to try and keep around 20 degrees

UPDATE:-

So the first chiller i borrowed didnt work and was huge! Way to big for my tent, curently on plan F i think haha, ice blocks... found that a 2ltr bottle of water frozen will keep my tank below 19/20 degrees for 4 and half hours. Alot of work but it seems to be my solution for now, just brough 6 bottles so i can alternate, (3 in the freezer and one in each tank)

My silver bullet arrived today so now got some of that in the res to help protect the roots, Emptied my tanks yesterday and cleaned them all out, and refilled my tanks with a fresh res at 1.4EC. The roots are looking very healthy, just keep monitoring the leaves. Raised the lights an extra couple of inches yday.

Photo shows cctv shot of my tent at the minute. Friday will be week 4 of 6 veg stage. Topped a bit more yeaterday, how much and how often do you guys reccomend topping? (Cheese)

Thanks All

1st Brummy bubbler update:-

Day 29 of Veg stage, 13 days until i flip. Looking nice now i think, geting in there today to do a slight bit of trimming and topping, and getting a net in there to scrog. Gonna weave them outwards to try and fill the tent space as much as i can before i switch to 12/12.

Using 2 ltr bottle of frozen water switched every 6/8 hours which is keeping my res temp 15/20degrees as aposed to the 24/26 i was getting before.

Got my lights running at 600w now and my temps are still stable. Really hoping i can do ok off this one. (First hydro attempt)

Currently using :-

Dutch pro multi total
Dutch pro Take root
Cal/MaG
Silver Bullet Root
Dutch pro A / B

EC - 1.6ish - PH 6.2ish

Any advice or constructive critisism welcome
