Lazy Guerilla Grow

So I got a sack full of bagseed that a buddy gave me, and I dont' have any more room to grow indoors, so I thought I'd wander off into the mountains for a day or two and find a good spot to plant them, let them do their own thing all summer, and come back and see what happens around october. What you think? Bad idea? Could it even work without me watching them?

One of my plots this year is a low maintanence guerrilla grow but I will baby the transplanted seedlings in the first few weeks in order to guarantee established plants, if you plan on just scattering the seeds expect a very low percentage of eventual survivors, Johnny Appleseed style would be better as you ensure that every seed is embedded properly in the ground, local flora usually conquers all the space considerinig that they have been growing there for God knows how long, if you can trim a bit and plant the seeds in the ground I'd calculate a 10/15% success rate, perhaps even 18/23%, give it a try.

Alright, yeah I was planning on planting them in the soil, not just scattering. Do you think the mountains would be good enough temps and humidity? Avg highs are 80 and avg lows are 50, but it's been a warm year.

as long as you baby the plants in the beginning month and burry the seeds in the ground to start off you should have atleast a 25% succes rate as long as you give them good care in the first month. as long as they dont get found you should yield quite a bit if you have a sack full of seeds good luck and smoke fatbongsmilie:eyesmoke:bongsmilie:eyesmoke:

I find myself in a very familiar situation. I am not able to start them inside and my current budget is very slim if any. I have mainly nice mid bagseed and a few random seeds from dank i have acquired. As far as the mids go im looking mainly for yield meaning hope to set out over 80+ seeds and pray for little girls. I have clocked quite a few hours lol browsing this forum and this being my first grow of course i want to make sure i get everything the best I can. I plan on making a journal as soon as I get everything out and about. I geuss my questions would be what are some necessitates as far as hole prep (or planting areas for the germ'd seeds)?

I just plan on tearing up that good ol' mountain soil a foot deep and spacing the seeds out evenly just in between a clearing and a stand of pines/aspens and just throw some water on em' and maybe down a six pack, and piss all around em' to keep the little furry creatures at bay. After that, I think I'll let mother nature do what she does best. Maybe come back every month to piss again (don't want the rabbits munchin on that shit). But it's really just some mids and I'm just experimenting. I grow all I need indoor. Just had a lot of leftover seeds and thought I'd have some fun.

as long as you have water and low threat levels you should see some good things...

It's a kind of foothills area, so a little drier and warmer than deep in the mountains, but there are aspens and pines growing there, and some small vegetation. I figure if weed can grow in Mexico, it can grow there.

Higher ground, less/faster water run off. Look for natural depressions, natural water collection areas. 1 gal. of compost per 4 seeds would help a lot. 4" plants in 16 oz. cups, planted in the low, composted spot, better. Polking holes in the ground & filled with liquid seaweed & molasses tea, even better.

Thanks for the tips, but this place I'm scoping out is a good two mile hike from the nearest dirt road, so I don't plan on planting actual plants, just seeds. And carrying in compost is pretty much out of the question too. I don't know about molasses either since it attracts bugs and probably other animals. This is going to be one LAZY grow; I'm not hardly even going to check on them. I just thought it'd be better than throwing the seeds away, and a fun experiment.

i wonder about males, surely if u just scatter loads of seeds a few males will pop up, destroying ur crop?

Yeah, I'm sure that will happen. I'm not too worried. The bud will be just as good, just less of it, and more seeds to throw around next year. Plus, it's free with no work involved, who can complain about a few seeds?

thinking of doing rhe same my self even if you get seeds make some knock out hash out of them.

thanks m8 i think you have made me give it a go i have 000s of seeds to try this method out.

Damn, you got me beat by a long shot. You should have quite the field growing if you plant them all. If you got that many, I would try like 5 or so different sites out, and see where they grow the best. Good luck
