I figure i would share this with you guys 
I have a bud that we all call the geek, hes a computer nerd.
He decided to do a hydro set up for his first time growin. so he picked a EBB flow with out researching much about it. Dude gets Bcuzz A+B solution buys a electronic PH tester and ppm tester, a big ass flood tray, water pump, mylar, basically he gets the works. buys the most expensive shit he spent about 6 bills his first day at the dro shop.
He buys about 100 bux in cfls hangs them around this plants. they where doin fine then about 3-4 weeks into grow i noticed his leaves where alil yellow an i said you prolly have a cal def in them so u might wanna get some epson salt or magical to fix em, which he did.
About another week later i see the main stems dark ass purple almost black. lol. And i said i dont know what the fuck your doing but imma have to say thats a def of some sort. he replies with " its in the strain".
about a months later shits still dark purple. hes ready to get some better lighting so hes said " i wanna get LEDs, thats wats up man". i said to him "i would get a HPS or MH 400 watt". he said "fuck that LEDs use less juice and have a better spectrum". literally the next day he buys a 400 watt HPS.
next thing you know the geek squad builds a wooden THING to hang the light uses kite string to hold it up...lol. i convinced him to goto the store and get chain.. which he did.
3 days later he wakes up and walk down stairs and says "man my shit is smelling so good i can smell it from my strair way". damn things are 3 days into flower there aint shit there.lol. he opens the door to the room an the light fell on the plants crushed, broke, burnt, mangled, destroyed his shit.
stupid geek. good dude but definitely not a handy guy by any means, lacks common sense...
