hello i have 2 white berry in my grow room that have spidermites none of the other plants have them so i put the plants into the shower and misted the leafs with cold water and rubbed them also. Then i had to put them back and added about 100 ladybugs ........ my question comes in 3 parts.....

1st part how well do they work

2nd part how long will it take

3rd part should i just get rid of the 2 white berry

thank all of you who visited here

they eat everything, even the eggs

wont take long with only 2 plants and 100 ladys

dont get rid of them
your doing everything fine.
close observation and hand remooval is always the best
thing to do. youll get rid of them in no time.

just be sure to put the plants apart from the other ones
so you cont contaminate them

keep me updated on the lady bug situation, how fast it took

good luck

I can confirm the lady's will eradicate your bug problem... Had my own troop of lady's. 3 day's later no more problem. I called them my troop of vigilanty weed bug destroyer's....

after the bugs are gone, how do you get rid of the ladybugs?

Leave them in there... just make sure they have some water. I used a cloth in a bucket like a wick.....
Lady's wont eat your plant's. They may however turn Cannabalistic and eat each other.....

How much were you guys paying for those bugs or did you manage to catch them yourself. I believe after they have done their job you can keep them in your fridge for sometime, just in case!

There quite pricey on the internet, But can be purchased for around 25 for £20 Plus P+P = £30. I wasn't prepaired to pay for them so went out on the search. The best place to find them I found was at dead bracken sites at the edge of woodland. Once you find your first then you know there will be more. I spent 3 hours at one site and found around 60 -70....

Downfalls to lady bugs:
*They will fly into your lights and kill themselves if your lights are hot and unprotected.

*They will not wipe out a population. They are predators and are thus, by definition, are very careful to not wipe out entire populations of pray. This means that if your lady bugs don't successfully reproduce you will probably need to buy more. For this reason parasitic mites are way sweeter. They will infect everything they can and every time they do they lay an egg. They are harder to find offline tho.

*Ladybugs in my experience work best as a preventative measure and work poorly with existing infestations. For them to be effective in those situations you need to have way too many lady bugs.. they kill off too many spider mites.. they die off... then you need to buy more lady bugs to control the spider mites that made it through.

Pyrethium fog bomb is my personal favorite. Normally I full-dip any plants that enter my sanctuary from someone else's grow room. The one time I didn't, I got spider mites.

Whitmire Micro-Gen Pyrethrum Total Release Fogger, 2 oz is what I use. It's got a 4% Pyrethrum concentration. If you look at Dr. Doom or whatever it is, it's got way less % of the stuff that actually kills em. Just remember to TURN OFF your AC and Dehumidifier. I didn't turn off my dehumidifier and it seemed to gum it up until I hosed it down.

thanks for the info, i just noticed i had some when bringing a clone to the flower room i saw a tiny web and looked on the bottom it had over 2 dozen on it so i put it down and go back to my veg room, clones were covered and my moms were untouched(i guess they prey on the weak) i also have 3 clones around 4 weeks old that had only a couple on each so i went on a squishing spree and killed all that i could find but eggs were all over them so im going to look for more tips. thanks again and good growins

This. blah for minimum post.

paint the backs of the lady bugs with cola or elmers glue so tthey wont fly away. Im picking up some praying mantis eggs soon cant wait to have an army of praying mantis' in my budding garden- 2egg sacks with 200eggs in each costs about 10$ at a local nursery. they guna eat all my lady bugs tho

Get spider mite destroyers...there expensive but itll work...spider mites are a bitch mostly if you dont do a good cleaning of your grow room they will keep coming back...but the destroyers im getting its 100 for 50 bucks. One its about 40 mites a day and they reproduce faster then the spider mites so they have the advantage...lady bugs dont eat or produce fast enough to keep up with the spider mites

I picked up some clones from my dispencary and they had mites. I took a clear sterlite container drilled some one inch holes all the way around and filled the holes with polyfill for fresh air.
