I asked my father-in-law what the NFLD provincial flower is and he actually went out and picked one for me. I don't know what was up with my camera BUT the photos turned out completely out of focus. For some reason I think it looks cool.

The Newfoundland Provincial Flower is called the 'Picture Plant' and it really does look unique.

I also picked a vase full of wildflowerrs to brighten up the house.

Here are the pics.

I don't have much of an outdoor grow since my mom was here. It was too much of a threat to her and myself so i stayed low key.

I don't happen to like seafood at all. Hubby LOVES it.:hump:

I like eating some fish but am quite fussy even with that.
Some of those towns are where hubby was raised. It is very pretty BUT some of the places stink real real bad. :spew:Hubby decided to drive right into the fishery. OMG! He couldn't drive out fast enough. :? GAWD that was nasty:twisted:

We don't live next to way and have no water on our property BUT we live in central Ontario's vacation land....great lakes etc...so there is lots of fishing. Ontario has great waterways...rivers and small lakes.

We have a small pond near us and a flowing river with a damn.

Hi Lacy..thanks for more pic's...The Pitcher Plant, is Canada's version of the Venus Flytrap....
My pleasure twisty. After I posted about newfoundlands provincial flower i figured I must have spelled it wrong.

Pitcher Plant. Yes that makes sense. It is like a venus fly trap and I've gotta say that although it isn't very attractive, it is certainly unique.

mmmm hash browns.....

I don't know why, but for some reason, that pic makes me want to feed your dog to one of my dogs...Ok you do realize that if you fed my little yorkie to your dog then what would you do about me in your face.

thanks. me too. Our dogs had a blast.
I'm more of a big dog person myself... but there is something to be said for the little dogs when it comes to road trips.

I drive a Yukon Denali with the second seats being captains chairs (with a little aisle between them) and then the third row is the bench seat. I specifically bought this vehicle because I thought Jack could lay between the two captains chairs right behind me while I drive. But NOOOOOOO... at 110 pounds he doesn't fit between the two seats.... and he's too big to even sit on one of the seats :( (lol he's a frigging moose!). I have to take out the third row seats to have enough room for Jack and the luggage in the way back. Luckily Jack loves a good road trip and he never complains about having to ride in the way back.

Seeing your little dog in your car.... taking up a wee bit of room makes me a little jealous

Oh gosh I hear you with this one. Before these two little dogs we had german shepherds. I have always had big dogs but she used to take up the entire van. We had to take out all the back seats for her to have room but she got hit by a car last novmeber so we now have just little dogs. We thought of getting another shepherd but these two are used to being the only dogs now and then we can't travel. There is no way we could have taken a german shepherd and two little dogs on a road trip. My shepherd LOVED cars a little too much. :?

There are pros and cons to both big and little dogs but I honestly love them all.
