Lack of nutrients??

Alright so I just turned the light over on these girls and they seem to have a nute prob. I've got a cheap ph and fertility meter and it reads low fertility. But I am unsure. Idk if the gauge is messed up or what the prob is. Can anyone help?

Hey thx for the quick reply. I wasn't quite positive what was goin on. Now how long can she go before I can get to the store to get some cal/mag? If I can even find it around my neck of the woods

I'd give cal/mag with every watering/feeding. Most nutes don't include cal/mag so check your labels.

@Bugeye I had similar problems to this and someone suggested a bit of espon salt in the waterings. I know Espon salt has Mag but does it have cal?? Or do I need like powdered egg shells?

Ok well I give them just ordinary vegetables or flower bloom. Idk one of them. And just use tomatoe feed throughout veg. Seems to work well. I did look on the label when I fed them and there is both in it, but very little. So with the water and the feed ya think it will get what it needs. And as far as eggshells I'm not sure but have heard of people using them

Calcium and magnesium deficiencies look similar but you will seem them show up in different spots. Calcium will show up in new growth and mag in old growth. No calcium in epson salt. Egg shells will work but I haven't used them but in composts. I just add a little liquid cal/mag to my rain water when I see a plant that needs more.

If you already have cal/mag in your products, it could be lock out from over feeding (nutrient antagonism). So look at your feed rate and decide if you're pushing ppms or on the low side.

Well the thing of it is. I have a fertility gauge which has been on the "too low" for sometime and was trying to avoid a lockout. I fed them last night and checked again and the gauge is almost in the " ideal" range. So should I give it a few days?
