Lack of Nutes? Help please!

Hello all! I have officially made the switch to DWC from outdoor (well, I'm still growing outdoor too for a backup) after reading and studying for months, and I am having issues. My plants are not growing and are drooping and yellowing big time. I started from clones that I put in the tank only four days ago, but they just keep looking worse. I am using a 600w HPS eye hortilux blue, my room temps range from 75-81 and res temps are about 70. My PH goes all over the place and will not stay stable. Anywhere from 5.6 - 6.5. I am using tapwater that I let sit for a day before adjusting the PH. Yesterday, I introduced some Fox Farm Grow Big for hydoponics yesterday because I read on Rosemans thread that leaves that curl down are lacking nutes. All of my plant's leaves are curling down and yellowing so I started them with a very small dose of around 1/8 the recommended low dose. Still no change today as I was hoping. They are showing good root growth but have not come through the net pod yet. My biggest problem is that after purchasing all my equipment, I do not have enough money right now for an EC/TDS tester so I'm left clueless on my ppm's. Any help would be great and very appreciated. I had to take her outside real quick to get a good photo. And the cups you see in my setup were soil clones I had to put in there for a couple hours while I prepped my soil outside.

So I must have misread, because apparently over feeding causes the leaves to curl down and yellow. The leaves were doing this before I gave them any food and I don't see how I could have overfed due to the very low amount of nutes I put in, so I am at a complete loss now. Actually starting to panic a little. Any thoughts would be great. Thanks again!

it look like overwatering I know that sounds stupid since its hydro but what is your media and how much air are you running in the system DWC need tons of air, when I did DWC I use BC Neuts because their mix gives you 2.0 EC with out testing and it works great, I now use top feed hydro system.

terek2k - Thanks for the info. The clones were in rockwool and they were placed into hydroton. That was one of the first things I thought too - is that it looks like over watering, so I lowered my water level to two inches under the net pods two days ago. Still have not noticed any changes. Yet, it hasn't been that long so hopefully it makes a difference soon. I am running a 20 watt air pump with a six way splitter and two 12" stones in each res. There is plenty of bubble action.

One person... One person on all of RIU had some kind of insight for me? Wow.

Is that a swamp cooler? or a de/humidifier? or ac?

Just curious.

I know i had humidity problems and basically it was so humid/combined with heat the plants were not happy. What humidiy percentage are you using?

It's a cooler. Basically a fan that cools with water. At most the humidity is 53% and average of 40% when I run the water, which I read is fine for veg, but when I turn the water off (when I start flowering) and just use it as a fan it the humidity is at about twenty. Or I might run it to cool the room when flowering and just get a dehumidifier. Please let me know if someone thinks 53% humidity is too high. Thanks!

Hey it is pretty normal for clones to look like crap for a few days after transplanting. They will pull out of it probably.
