Ive seen multiple journals of the Mars 2 LED light. They are chineese.

Im going to be buying 8 or 16 of the Mars 2 1200w, it draws 530 watts from the wall. You can daisey chain them. Multiple grow journals pulling .8 gpw some over 1gpw. Some of the threads have 10's of thousands of posts, there have been a few electrical guys and in particular a electrical engineer and he pulled open a few different branded lights and they are all the same except a few minor things like interior design.
The 1200w mars 2 costs 440usd and lasts 50,000hrs. It has 2 switches to go between specturms (grow and bloom) or leaving both on is full spectrum. Im ditching my HIDs after i can get another grow or 2 under my belt.

You guys should be looking in the led lighting forum for knowledge. The tech is still evolving but I recently switched and see no reason to switch back to hid lighting. My led grow is in my sig and yes, I spent around 900 on two lights. They are close to having paid for themselves in energy savings. Crop is top notch quality, no compromise there. COB lighting is definitely one path forward.

Thanks for the post, wasn't your yield weight disappointing?

Leds grow buds. Im at 3.5 weeks with 500w of led (too much for the space so I have a 4x4 for the bars I built when this grow is done). These are vero 18 cobs Cob LED is the tech for growing IMO.

Yes, but.

I allowed those plants to get terribly floppy through inaction and allowing them to veg a tad too large. I didn't train them in any way or support them when they started to put on weight except for the stif that was standing upright anyway, and finally, I was really strict about what I called weighable. I could get high for a year on what I actually cut and stored. the current cycle I'm on should be a better test with a screen in place and a nice even canopy like someguys..

I'm just a random led grower. There's lots way better than me. Go read some threads in the led and other lighting subforum is all I'm saying, there's some folks there who are really in the know.
