sour diesel

indica mother

both plants next to each other

i took 2 clones from each plant and put the indica in the back and the sour d in the front

i stuffed both plants into the mother room in the same container so i could utilize the clone chamber. i trimmed them way back and set them in a new lid with two holes in it. i know the roots will grow together and they will probably be stuck in there but i will replace each mother with a clone and i can grow them separate.i had to mount the air pump on the wall because the container had no room on it with the two plants in it.

Put in the scrog fan today, its cool because. It blows right through the tunnel of green to get fresh air to the whole plant.

so its the next day and the clones are all perked up. looks like they are gonna do very well. i used R.O. water and the batch only came out to 160 ppm after adjusting for ph. its a lot lower ppm's than im used to but they seem to be liking it.i used dyna-"gro", pro-tekt, b-cuzz root, and ph down (acid).the ph was set about 5.8.

i was training some branches down into the screen when the hps went on, so i figured id get a picture before the magnetic field messed up the camera.it was a really deep amber color while warming up, like a fall sunrise.

so its going into the second week of flowering and that same old brown spotty crap is starting to show up again.and im sure its not nute burn because my res hasnt gone over 450 ppm yet. i moved and now my water is 250 ppm instead of 170, and im assuming that the 250 is mostly calcium, so i ordered some mag-pro to supplement these babys before the buds get all spotty and dont fill out like they should.hopefully that does the trick
...maybe its because my ppms are so low that its not getting enough trace elements? idk can anyone help me out?

so i changed the nutrients out and put a full strength solution,845ppm, trimmed off all the leaves that had spots on them, which wasnt really that many leaves, about 5 or 6. hopeing they just needed some more nutes. im seeing little white hairs all over it now wont be long til shes in full bloom.and ill be watching for brown spots.

so despite the main leaves of the clones turning yellow they rooted well and are growing good. ive never used such a mild solution before (150ppm) but that explains the yellowing, although they rooted in record time.

the indicas rooted better than the sour diesel but thats ok they both are doing good.

i trimmed up the clones and put them in a dwc, with a 600ppm solution, til they are stable enough then i will transplant them.

Yo, kush I lost 1 outta 3 clones in the coco pucks and I had to toss the 2 hermie clones. So in the end I still got an indica clone to work with. I will be cloning more in the future for sure but I'm not liking this brand of coco pucks. I'm really thinking of going ol' school and just investing in a good clean potting soil for my clones. I like your cloning method but I'm not ready reay to move on from soil yet.

ive had decent luck with peat pellets, but nothing else besides the aero cloner. the nice part about this method is i can transplant them into any other medium i want. but my problem with the pellets is the roots would grow into the netting and it was very difficult to get the clones back into a hydro setup. if your sticking with soil i would go with peat pellets instead of coco..or you could even use rockwool and then bury the cube in the soil, ive done that before.

The clones are doing good, ill be using one of each for new mother plants, and not sure what I will do with the other two yet maybe I can scrog them if the current scrog is done in time

By the way I took the mother plants and put them in my new v-scrog box which is in my other thread 400w V-Scrog

2014-04-07 16.15.08.jpg so heres an update on the scrog since the site came back up and i can upload photos once again. shes got plenty of healthy looking buds on her and no signs of deficiencies or over abundance of nutrients. things are going very smooth. im at week 5 of flowering and i will go about 3 or 4 more weeks til harvest.

Looking good.....wonder how that wire's gonna treat ya when it's time to harvest. :bigjoint: Gonna be worth it any way you cut it by the looks of that canopy.

yeah, i usually plan a whole day for just harvesting and switching around things in the grow room,i spend maybe an hour trimming but its all worth it in the end, tight sticky and very effective buds, i acidentally snapped a bud off when i was training it and it dried out, i smoked it and it had a better flavor and seemed more potent than most medical grades i get, even at 5 weeks flower.

2014-04-07 08.12.53.jpg i made 4 clones (2 of indica, and 2 of sour diesel in the front) and just put them in the same pot together to use them as new mothers, there might be some competition for space but either way they are just going to be cloned again anyways so it wont matter.ill trim them way back like a bonsai tree and keep them small, just big enough to take clones from in about a month

2014-04-11 08.57.52.jpg opened up the clone room and the indicas were touching the lights.i been busy for the past couple days so when i opened them up yesterday the reservior level had dropped almost to the bottom, i refilled with over a gallon of water, lucky i got to it in time.2014-04-11 09.04.03.jpgi trimmed and topped the indicas and just trimmed the sour d, im trying to let it grow taller to be the same size.
its very appearant now the charachteristics of the different species of sativa and indica, the sativa is thin and sharp and the indica is fat and rounded2014-04-11 09.00.32.jpg
