I got this hydro machine and a light mover for the 1000! I get the plants tomorrow and will post pics when I get them!

It's a cool system. I'm a soil guy so as far as hydro goes for me, it was low maintenance and easy. I ran Apache Tech LED's and kept it pretty small for my first test run. I could imaging great results with HPS and more size. Good luck man...I'll be checking on this one

I finally got the plants in and everything is good. I had to block some of the Ports, because i'm only using 12 plants (my legal limit)

I just got done making canna oil, I put it on low in the crockpot for 8hrs. I used 3oz's of Hindu Kush from my last run.

I have to take the plastic off the Ports that i'm not using because the black is absorbing the heat from the Light and making my rez temps 75. I like to keep it at 68-70. I think i'm going to just put the baskets in and fill them with hydroton. How do you keep shit light proof with Hydroton? Is that even possible? The hydrton is new to me, I used to use coco mat in my flood and drain table! Any suggestions?

Fill mesh pot with hydrotro then use Metal silver tape,or they make a lid for certain net pots?

I had a problem with the Coco lid Waterfarm it came with a 10" lid and was about 8"deep full
of the pebbles,light was getting in thru the top.


I made a lid from R-max board,no more issues.

You could use neoprene inserts that woul werk great.

Ok, great idea. Did that cause algae in your system? I'm a bit worried about that, especially on the plant sites.

This is a close up of it, I put a little hydroton on the bottom of the basket, then the clone in 1” rockwool with the feedstake in the rockwool then cover all that with hydroton....maybe I should put rockwool covers over the plant sites? Our am I just over thinking it and I should leave it as is?

Yea light and water =green lol.I think you should be fine but if i were you id get the inserts and covers.
Cause if you get light its gonna screw the hole grow, so i wouldnt cut corners.Neopreme inserts for unused
holes,and covers for net pots.

Looks like early stages of a Cal-Mag def,you using RO water? If so gonna need some Cal-Mag,im lucky my tap is 120ppm and never have had to use or have had a issue with it.

I use tap water, mine is about 220. I lowered the ppm to 1000. It was a bit high the last few days and thats what's confusing me! I add Cal/mag every Rez change. I've done this the last few grows, and haven't had any deficiencies... What the heck is going on? Ph is always 5.8-6.0 so I don't think its lock out...
