also when you put them in the ground, mix some good soil with the dirt already there, the roots can get stunted and stop growing when they hit a really steep change in soil composition, especially if you have a lot of clay or sand.
thanks for the heads up. didn't think of that.

I was wondering i can or should give her some MG. she's only 4 days old. is she too young? she is about 1 inch long and 4 days old. i think she's on track but might be stretching too much?

any comments/ advice is appreciatedkiss-ass

picture of MG just so you know which one i have.
You should wait for the first set of true leaves before any nutes. 1-2 weeks maybe. And start low, about 1/4 strength. There are nutes in the soil naturally, might not be much but there are some.

UPDATING!
so kristens 6 days old. i'll take a picture later tonight to show.

she isn't stretching as much anymore but leaves are getting bigger and she is barely starting to grow thee other 2 leaves. tiny but they are there. she will be week old tomorrow and is about 1 1/2 inches tall? maybe 2 by the old of today. i don't give her any lights...just straight sunlight. she loves it too. i also placed aluminum foil behind the cup i placed her in so she doesn't stretch as more but i am worried it will fry her! could it hurt her?

the aluminum will not hurt. your plant may have been leaning because it wants to point its leafs at the sun/light. when i started growing my plant about 2+ weeks ago i grew my plant in the window before i was ready to make a box to grow her in. i noticed, when she was a baby like yours she would lean the top part with the leafs right up against the window to catch the most light.

o i also liked how you name your plant a pretty girls name. i named mine Melanie or Melanie-Jane. i believe giving your girls the most love and care possible will make them grow better and love you back when the time is right

Melanie-Jane is the one!

so if she leans it really doesn;t matter right? i'm not too worried about having a weak stem for it is only a baby and i leave her on my roof for the most sunlight and theres plenty wind for her to gain strength.
so if the foil doesn't hurt; does it help it? if not i'll just remove it.

Feel free to show me Melanie-Jane, kinda wanna meet her since she is older than kristen.

it should be good on the roof. it most likely has shingles all over it, right? it might have been a very good idea to put aluminum under and around the plant cuz the black shingles would absorb a lot of sunlight. have you checked it at sunrise and sun set? ill bet it faces towards the sun no matter what time of day it is. my plant still has a kinda skinny stem on it still but its srong enough to support all the leafs its grown check her out here: https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/196282-first-low-budget-indoor-stealth.html

shingles part would be a yes and no. see kristens only 1 week old as of TODAY! :D
but yeah she does turn to where ever the sun goes. this is the same reason i was freaking out last night. i got home around 11 and got her done she was all bent down but i had thought it was because she was dying or something. then i read somewhere that they tend to turn towards the light and the sunset is just behind my house which is why i kinda stopped freaking out a little but i was still worried cause her stem is skinny and has kinda fatty leaves for a week old. i will update picture for you guys tonight.

oh one last question for you guys; If i move into an apartment would smell be a problem? i currently live with parents but will move out cause i want this grow to be successful and a good harvest.

another thing. for entrepreneurs!!! have you added total cost to of your grow season? and of how much you made? just wanna make sure this is a net income and not a net loss.

What up hauvert! I agree with everyone about the "let her dry in between waterings," but it should really be added that while shes still a baby she will be very sensitive to being too dry! Until shes bigger I wouldn't let the soil dry too much! Once shes a few weeks be sure to let her dry and get oxygen, but as long as shes as little as she is I would keep her soil a nice moist all the way to the top.

Glad I found your journal! You and kristen have some fun in the sun now! Check back with me soon, I transplanted into pots today, will get pics up soon!

looks good bro, and i dont think temps much higher than 80 will bother her. you said you keep her in the sewer on the roof? do you mean like in the gutter or something? if you want to grow in an appt. smell is a very important thing to consider. i hope to get mine outside before she reaks. i dont plan on using any nutes untill she is ready to flower, just streight up h2O. and even when i use blooming nutes i will take it very easy. other people use nutes the whole time, i guess its about the grower and the plant
