 My soil is left over from my indoor garden . Then I added 3-2 CUFT
bags of Super Soil compost from HD the orange bag .

:arrow:I fertilized with Peace of Mind 5-5-5 , EWC , kelp meal , dolomite lime and to be honest I got rid of some partial bags of other organic granular fertilizers.

That soil should be cooking good here in a few weeks and alive I hope, POM has myco in it should be enough to kick the herd in anyways .:-o

Yeah probaly one more bed near that one then a row of corn down on the other side . The Plastic jugs for me was for the overnight cold . Actually it's just still too cold . Those seedlings was in full wilt this morning . I thought I,d see if they would take but I knew they might not . Got the rest of the seedlings inside so it's all good .

its not to cold here for lettuce and radishes and cold crop plants but the rain beats them down, thats the reason i will be using the bottle GH.
what state are you from?
im just curious.

I'm in Colorado . Thats a good Idea using them for protection against down pours . I used to live in florida , rains like hell there when it does rain. I was thinking some cold weather crops too but just don't want any of them .
Temps right now are around 60 for a high and 30 for a low .

sounds liek the same weather we are having in southern oregon but with rains as well.

i noticed the yard looks like it is covered with a tarp or material and then covered with rocks. is this correct? if so what are you doing to the yard?

Thats the old weed barrier from under the rocks . Been waiting on some warmer weather to work on it . Just need to cut back the exsposed barrier and rake some rocks around . But damn is the warmth ever gonna come? lol brrr

Thanks Robert , the picture must be deceiving . I'll have to post a pic from a different angle . The backyard isn't all that big but definatly room enough for some gardening .:)

right on man, we havent had any freezin weather lately, it has actually been warm here for now.
and thats cool about the tomatoes, i always thought it had something to do with maturity and temps though. i didnt knwo they needed a light schedule to flower. so maybe i was wrong on that.

I dont think they do . I had one in 24/0 that fruited but not much . I think tomatoes do need a rest period though seems the one in 12/12 is doing better and fruiting faster .

Nice start KOQ. Kinda funny cause I've been itching to get growing outside also. Everything I've read says 1st or 2nd week of april is average last freeze. Have you gardened before? This wil be my first year gardening. I've got some brocolli and sweet peppers started last week. For some reason the lavender did not sprout.

I've gardened before but that was in florida . But yeah after first 2 weeks of april is time to plant . Overnight temps will be more acceptable then too . You might want to look up the lavender , no exp with it . PEace and Thanks :)
