Flower week #1, screen is damn near filled and plants lookin real healthy, I love this organic shit. I plan to train for 2 more days then and then start supercropping the tops. I started thinking about my problem with the blue dreams being in 2 gal grow bags and realized my grow bags were only half full so I topped them off with more mix, this should buy me another day or two of watering in the near future.

Well, upon inspection of my garden last night I found 1 of my kushberries completly covered in balls and bannanas. I have had plants in the past that have thrown a few balls but this whole plant is a male, not 1 female flower, I dont get it. The other 2 kushberries are fine thankfully but it rely blows losing 1 plant in my small garden. Pics suck but here they are anyway.

Flower week #2, I believe the stretching is done and its time to get fat. I have lowered my lights and been supercropping tops slightly. Still is a big fuckin whole in my screen but thats not gonna change. Hopefully one day I will get my shit perpetual and just be able to pop another in if shit gets funny. I plan on top dressing with compost again next watering.

Flower week #3. I top dressed with compost last week but I am getting a bit of yellowing starting. I added a little general organics cal/mag to the watering regime last night and I have a brew of compost tea going that they will get in the next couple of days. If they still continue to yllow I might have to go buy a bottle of something.Hope not.

Flower week #4, All is well except some yellowing in the two plants closest to the door. I'm thinking maybe its light related because on 1 of the kushberry the fan leaves are yellowing towards the center of the plant but the outer edges seem deep green. I moved the light up a little and plan on top dressing with worm castings tonight.

looks like they are yellowing from a N deficiency... but thats just my opinion. when did u stop feeding high N veg food? and switch to flower high (P-K) food... i suspect that they are running ouutta juice, try to green them up with a light /very light vegetative mix, maybe just some fish emulsion 1tbs per gallon.. looks like they are running outta gas for the home stretch

Thanks for the input SFguy, I have feed these plants nothing from a bottle except cal/mag just because I had some. I am trying to grow these plants organically with no help from a bottle, unsucessfully. All the plants have in the mix is worm castings, compost, and a little bat guano. I have been feeding with top dressing compost and brewing teas but that is clearly not working well. I top dressed with 3 heaping scoops of worm castings each last night before watering.

I would have to agree with SFguy. Leaves look a lil bit too yellow for week 4. Other than that the grow looks pretty gnar bro.

Unfortunately the castings, compost, and guano are not going to be enough food to carry them trough till the end. It looks like they have used up what was available in the soil and know are going to rely on bottle nutes only. At this point the soil is just the medium holding the roots so you have to feed them like in a hydro setup. They need some grub ASAP. Plenty of organic nutes out there to give'em. I have great results from Age Old Organics and they are cheap.

to correct a nitrogen deficiency using organic methods takes a while. the best medicine is prevention. but since you're already past that point....

you could try making a compost tea with manure (lots of N) in it and doing a foliar feeding til the problem rectifies itself. if foliar feeding your plants some poop grosses you out then you can just apply it like you have been, but in my experience, if you want it done fast, do it foliar.

ridiculous ideas i've found on the internet involve diluting your urine in water 1:10. there's N in your pee, but there's also ammonia and last i heard that's not very good for plants.

you can put some coffee grounds in your compost tea too. i heard that helps boost N, but i can't confirm that. i do know that coffee is pretty acidic tho... would probably throw off your ph.

i knew a guy who did nothing bet feed his brazilian haze bat shit and fish emulsion via foliar and that was probably the biggest damned cola i'd ever seen on any plant.

great grow though! lovin the pics.

Thanks for dropping in guys, I think you got it pinned Rootine.

Flower week#5 I'm gonna stop by the shop today and get a bottle of something. They are hungry. The smell of each plant are among the most auromatic I have ever grown and I believe it is due to the medium and diet. The good news is MJ over at peakseedsbc.com sent me a free pack of old stock seeds. He sent me a mixed pack with 37 seeds in it and 4 of the first 5 I germed have popped. I grew his skunkberry a few years ago and was top notch, I am expecting the same with the rest of his strains.

Got a bottle of Earth juice and fed accordingly. Hoping for the best. This will be my lowest yield I have had in years but the quality I believe will be the best I have ever grown. I am formulating a new soil mix that I believe will help tremendously and I am no longer relying on clones from others, I have mommies again.

Flower week # 6 The earth juice is helping sustain life and buds are swelling up. Crystal packed and funky. I am ready for the next round though, its redemption time. I have 6 super lemon haze clones that are rooting now and 2 blue dreams that have been rooted for a couple of weeks. I also have 5 out of 5 of the peakseedsbc mix pack sprouted, that I will be sexing and replacing all of my genetics with. I have a new batch of soil going that I feel good about too.

Flower week #7 This garden is an embarrassment, I am only finishing this journal because I started it. This will be the lowest yield I have ever had, but the nuggets will still be dank. A couple of these plants have some very good traits and might be worth keeping around. I have a friend who might have the kushberry pheno that is looking fucking great.I have learned alot during this grow and that is the important part. I have a soil mix going that I feel great about and some new genetics from one of my favorite breeders.

Round 2 1600w organic scrog

I have not recorded much of this grow but thought I should post back on the changes I made and the results I am having. This is my second attempt of growing organicaly after growing hydro the last few years.
-10 gallon smart pots
-soil mix that consists of Peat,my own compost, worm castings and perlite
- ammended with kelp meal, lime, rock phosphate, high n bat guano, high p bat guano, blood meal and rabbit shit
- fed nothing but water

This is week # 5 of 12/12, a major difference if you compare to the week #5 pics at the top of this page. All due to soil mix and larger containers.
