do u think conversations are being recorded or location is just being tracked? my mom recieved a cellphone with minutes for free by applying for a gvernment assistance program which offers a phone and minutes and gave the phone to me( WE LIVE AT DIFFERENT ADDRRESS'). So mydad uses my phone and hears a message that says not to use the phone if uarent the recipient of the phone. then i just recieved a application sent to MY address(WHICH I NEVER DEALT WITH THIS ASSISTANCE PROGRAM BEFORE) Obviously they tracked the phones location, BUt ihave read before that if the gov wanted they could activate ur speaker in ur phone to listen to conversations even when ur not using ur phone . havent started growing yet but have been talking about it and i dont wanna get nailed for growing. im already pissed this company got their gps onthat phone

yes they record conversations or rather they have the ability too. i image once you get a phone they may record the first few conversations to confirm the recipient is the one using it to try and curb the use of these phone for other peoples purposes. but keep this in mind they can record any conversation on any cellphone anywhere, but the fact that these are federally funded means they have more access to them and rights to them.

I used on of those phones for about 9 months. The phone was given to me by a friend, he got it from his mother. We still have it in the car for emergencies, call time&temp once a month to keep it active. If they have been listening to me for a year, they must not be listening very well. They also must not be listening to some of my friends who use these phones for actual deals. Openly talking deals is stupid to do on any phone, but there is nothing especially dangerous about these govt issued phones.

Indiscriminately eavesdropping would be a very poor way to get leads if you need your leads to later pan out in court, and what happens when they overhear child abuse, organized crime, murder conspiracies, tax evasion plotting... how come we do not hear of people like this being found by listening to their phones? Do you suppose they ignore cases such as these for the sake of keeping phone tapping a secret? How big of a secret would it be if you can go to a stoners website to have it confirmed? Just some questions that come to mind.

Do you know why law enforcement gives lie detector tests? They know they are useless in court. They know the results mean nothing, but the criminal doesn't know that. Often, giving a lie detector tests ends up delivering a confession. What I am trying to say is that fear is one of the biggest tools the DEA has. If you are afraid to grow, it saves them from having to do a lot of actual work. If you think they are listening, you will be a good boy. Imagine the manpower it would take to actually screen every call from every phone sent out.

I believe the applications are sent to any address which has received govt assistance of any kind. All you need to get one of these phones is to be getting help from the govt in any way, so you bet the company behind these phones is going to want to send a letter to every potential customer they have.

Growing comes with risks, and there is no way to manage those risks if you do not properly identify them. If you are too busy running from shadows you will be distracted from the actual threats. I don't mean to sound as if I am lecturing you, I am just trying to ease your concern. They have no idea about you yet, and if you are smart they never will.

I had the same fear when I was trying to translate Francis Cabrel songs into English. There's no anti-goverment in your business Labor Day Complex station to call when you do think that's happened as far as I know.

Maybe they're sending those applications out to everyone around you, or for some other reason. I highly doubt they found your location and then sent you the application. I mean... it just doesn't make much sense.

Yeah, this.

You probably shouldn't grow though OP, you sound too paranoid. At least not in your house. My friend is ultra paranoid too, started growing and he got a bench warrant issued for him. He was afraid they were gonna bust down his door and raid his place. He threw out all his plants like a dumb ass. Gave me a bunch of lights and shit, though.

If you are that worried don't grow at all or at least in your house.

Never post photos that you take of your grow with your phone and upload it because that makes it alot easier to track down.

If you grow use your head and don't do any thing stupid.

When discussing anything for which you may suffer adverse consequences, assume you are being watched and listened to and take appropriate measures. In this case, I would always leave the phone near a noise source like a machine, tv, etc so they couldn't eavesdrop so easily.

the whole point of the free phones is to give people a way to call police & 511 for emergencies. they have gps in them, but all phones do. They might have access to that information because they own the phone. Verses getting a warrant to pry the information form a cellular service like Verizon or at&t.

Remember nothing is free for no reason. I highly doubt they would spend the time to record people or if that is even possible, but you never know.

And no device can work if you take the battery out :bigjoint:

why don`t your mum have the phone ?

Stealing from the government and now you want them to let you grow weed ?

What is the point really man ? Get a prepay if your doggy and get a contract phone if your not done no need to steal phone calls from the government, sad bet the guy that thought it up had the idea that they phone would allow your mum to call you more not you to get cheap or free calls.

With those crappy phones the battery would go dead before you could turn it over and take it out. The sound quality is equivalent to a Burger Chef drive through speaker in the 80's. I feel sorry for whoever is tasked with listening. Imagine his thrill when he finds out Laqurita is knocked up with her fourth baby by Bobby Jimmy and doesn't want Tamieca Sue to find out.

seriously bro ...screw. You know how many people steal from the gov.? all these foreigners and bitches getting welfare and every other government assistance they can get their hands on. Is it right to take advantage of such programs if you're well off? No. But you know what? I can't afford a phone. I'm not exactly rolling in money. I just spent my last fucking dollar from buying the materials and equipment i need to grow to be able to get a car to get to a normal job. I'm broke, jobless and my parents are making barely enough to get by. Luckily my father allows me to live with him while im in this rut.

dont worry it about brocephous. I'll just pay my employees a little bit less so that my higher taxes can go to your lameass government teat sucking phone. And yes the illegals, lazies, retards, whales, chicks with dicks and anybody else who wants a hand out. Pointing to other bad behavior is just rationalizing what you know is wrong. And if you dont know its wrong you have further confirmed america is doomed.
you mad?

Phone companies delete records after a short period of time. Of course, long before that time the NSA has intercepted the conversation, text message, email or whatever and recorded it.

The NSA doesn't consider storing your email, phone conversations etc. to be an intrusion into your privacy because they don't actually look at or listen to it. Unless they need to in which case they write your name and social security number onto a postit note and stick it on the refrigerator in their regional office in case congress should ever need to know.

No doubt there was a clause in the fine print that allows them to access gps data, phone logs, voicemail etc. Did you have the contract reviewed by your lawyer?
