Kind XL750 LED newbie w/LED.. needing help with settings please

I have a Kind XL750 LED light, just started using it for the first round this week. I love it...I set up the remote/paired it, seems to work great. Here's the problem... I used the remote to set up the auto run from the mode button, not realizing the light strength lessens when I do that, I thought it would turn OFF the light for a few hours at night. I want to use the light dimming feature later when I make them flower, but not now.

I want to have the settings back to default and no autorun on. I'll manage shutting it off for a few hours each night myself without using autorun. I don't want the strength of the lights to decrease right now as it does on autorun.

How do I use the remote to undo the autorun mode so it stays on 100% full light?

Thanks in advance!

Cheryl on an island.

I found this video answered all my questions. A bit tedious, but worth it in the end to program the timer right.

my kind drove me batty as i couldnt get it to hold the settings thru a power cycle. best ive figured out is its impossible to permanently set it with the fixture itself, you NEED the remote and you have to hit 'OK'

also for the timer, i dont trust it, id rather use an external timer. the instructions say you need to program at least 2 channels for it to be functional

i set mine to
time/band
channel 1 on/time 0:00 A100/B100/C100
channel 2 on/time 23:59 A100/B100/C100
channels 3-8 off

timer is goofy and my least favorite feature, is not intuitive and it always seems to do the opposite of what i want

i suppose it would work if you disabled all channels, then set each of the A/B/C bands to a given number and hit OK. might hold it thru a power outage/external timer

im not at a point right now where experimentation would be a good thing!

Blech- all in one units are great, until ANY part goes wrong. Then the whole thing's fucked. Much better to have a light that just lights, a timer that just times, etc.
I had my COB LED custom made and a big part of the specification was simplicity. It's still just a light!

kind is actually quite serviceable

i had a string of leds go out, they gave their blessing for me to open it and it was just an intermittent molex connection between the driver and the leds. better than the California lightworks which are riveted shut so you cant open them non-destructively. witht eh kinds you could replace the driver or have them send you a driver, controller, etc

but i hear ya.. i have a half dozen ufo-knockoffs from 2007 or so that ar emissing half their leds. think im gonna repurpose the heatsinks and driver for cobs

My electric service is subject to momentary flickers and short outages. They do their best but this confuses electronic timers and can cause erratic light timing. Manual timers only here and do make sure the dial is enclosed (protected). Hermies are what you do not want. Brinks 1304D works for me, no exposed dial or pins that can move and be moved without knowing.

If your power service is intermittent and drops out, investing in a power conditioning UPS will extend the life of the electronics. Cyberpower is decent, but has some weird idiosyncrasies to it. APC is a bit more expensive, but proven and industry standard.

I 'm far too stingy but I'm around a lot so we manage well. Living not in town has its moments. Not a bad idea, friends have one for office stuff. The interruptions were making work impossible. They are happy, plus power co has improved service.

I want it to go completely off when I tell it to, not just down to zero with some light on. I am going to use an external timer and try that. It's coming in the mail, so today I will try using the remote to set all timers to off and hope it doesn't taper down the light on its own. I guess I told it to autorun with the mode button the first day, now I really want it OFF autorun. Thanks for all the feedback, still trying.

Yes, I do have the manual. I read it again today, says clearly how to put it on autorun, then click it again to exit autorun, but never says how to stop it from running on autorun! 'm hoping it will stay off autorun now. I did put each of the internal timers on off today, made sure A, B, and C are all on 100%, now I'll wake up and check on her later tonight to see if it's still at full intensity like I want it to be.

Ok, frustration here... Even with all 8 timers on off, this light still reduces intensity without me telling it to.. grrr... I want it on 100% intensity yet every day it randomly reduces it to 50% on one channel, zero and 100% on the other two channels. If anyone has any suggestions, feel free. Thanks in advance!

LOL

dont have any suggestions other than to disable all channels, set them to full power with the remote and hit 'OK'

Did you get it fixed? Do you have to use these timer features for kind led or can you just use the external timers I'm still
Confused about that

There are a couple threads on hacking Mars products and using what they could in a cob day. Do a search. Have fun.

I loathe blurple. But never say never?

ive had great results with blurple

quality commercial fixtures (clw, kind, bml, etc) are efficiency-wise at least as good as the best DE HPS and can offer better uniformity of coverage

they may not be cobs but you can find them used for a good price around $3/PAR W
