Kind XL-750 LED

So who has the most knowledge about lights ? What I would like to know is what’s the best led that won’t break the bank cause my buddy is consumed w/ saving power especially w/ 7 kids.
The cheapest to get started LED solution is going to be either E27 DIY bulbs or Alibaba COBs and QBs. But they won't have the IR or the UV, if you want those WV you'll have to add them in.

An equivalent white LED light to the KIND LED, in terms of PAR photons, would probably run you closer to 350w instead of 430w (maybe not as low as 350, just a guesstimate). A 4× 4 setup using new and more effecient QBs or COBs as well as bumping wattage up to 600w would cost about $400 compared to whatever the KIND runs these days, and would operate at a cooler temp. You can add in sonoffs for easy turning on or off, and they are about 5$, and you can even find Bluetooth dimmer modules so you can control your project wirelessly. If your friend is an electrician and he's worried about saving $$ then I'd say tell him to look into Alibaba cheap Chinese LEDs, he'll know how to hook everything up and what size drivers to use.

I was just reading all the bashing and thought I'd let you know that I thought it was a little bit of a pile on and that if you like your light then who cares. Though if you're recommending LED solutions to an electrician who wants to save money I'd say look into QBs or COBs.

ATM I’m more concerned w/ deciding to F3 or feminize my FPOG that just sprouted but would love some knowledge on cobs & qb but my blueberry just went to bed & FPOG just woke up so it’s time to get some work done.

They’re expensive, but better bang for your buck overall if you’re looking for LED. If he can DIY, have him go that route as he can customize it for his set up.
Unfortunately he’s 1300 miles away & wont see him till September at the earliest after my FPOG is done

I have the unit I am currently running it in a 4x7 I almost love it here is what I feel is wrong 1. It does have a smaller footprint kinda the light plants use we can’t see so you can’t see the foot print but it’s there 2 don’t lose the remote u can’t do any thing with out the remote after u put in your settings and lock it I just paid 50 bucks for a new one 3 it’s very expensive but u get what u pay for. I did the first 4 weeks with a hps I noticed loose buds and a slow bud growth after putting in the xl 750 the bud are supper dence and growing fast I’m on week 9 flushing to 10 then chop I will say it’s one of the best lights I’ve used
hi everyone, well i guess i was a little vague on our needs. Yes, that is me from a few years back.
1) We are not worried about costs.
2) We have been growing for over 30 years so we know how to grow and have been using HPS/MH setups but are tired of the heat issues, wasted energy and want to try something more interesting in terms of lighting.
3) We grow for ourselves. Weed is now legal were we live and can have up to12 plants. Looking to do two grows of six at a time. Personal use only.
4) Space we are using is 4x8'.
5) We want the best lighting for this setup.
6) We want max yield at max potency as per the seed genetics. Not trying to re-invent the wheel. Just want to continue growing kick-ass weed.
7) Do not nor do I want to understand this stuff: PPF numbers etc.
8) We appreciate your advice and recommendations!
9) thank you and now pass that fatty over here please!

No what I’m saying is they get tighter using led HpS seems to foxtail more than LED and in my world I get tighter buds using leds that have UV B and UV A spectrums

youve prob just reduced your heat stress. at a given efficiency you wont see a huge difference between hps or led. but leds are more tolerant to high temps (80+)

DFDBD2EA-F2F5-48BE-98B6-77086EAAEE0E.jpeg I’ve used both in quite a few runs and true the heat is significantly less but ive compared bud from HPS runs to LED runs and I’ve noticed the runs using LED lights seem to have tighter Denser nuggs I’ve even ran a 600watt HPS and a “1000”watt led at the same time thru flower hanging at a slight angle all the main kolas were leaning towards the LED could be the led was more powerful but just a observation please don’t reply with some Scientific mumbo-jumbo I’ve been growing for years way before it was cool back when u pulled seeds out of a bag thru them in a flower pot with a light bulb hanging over it and watered it with superthrive I’ve evolved with the times so please don’t try to teach me a lesson I’m just replying to a question with my own personal experiences

ok that light has 10-20% on a hortilux 600 with a bulb of average age. modern leds have 30-50%+ on your light. just kinda givin you a feel

I think I remember grow mouse opening up one of these kind leds one time to show whats in them. Some very cheep drivers, what looked like pc fans. Some thin heat sinks that were actually bolted together to make a slightly wider slab and 20 year old led technology chips run way to hard. Then for the price they sell them at belive me the guys who sell them must be laughing hard at the people who buy them.
