the weatherman lied to us, this whole week was supposed to be nice. it looks like summer sun is finally starting to show up though. looking good so far!
Lucky you i am still waiting for the sun. In northern U.S. Its been raining almost everyday for the past 2-3weeks, and I am getting really aggravated. My plants haven't grown one bit, I am afraid they will get root rot, and on top of it they are getting torn to bits by nasty bugs! So far my first year growing is not going in the direction i had hoped :( But good luck to you all

Nice looking plants! What kind of bags are you using if you don't mind me asking? They look a lot like garbage bags, but i didn't know if it was just some kind of larger grow bag. I'm a little confused with the burying of bags? If you could explain that a little further I would really appreciate it! Thank you and good luck, I'm subscribed! -F F

Im gonna go out on a limb here and say its to contain the MJ plants roots from other wild plants and to keep the nutes and moisture in.

Yup, just regular old fred meyer lawn and leaf bags. ok so what i do is, i carefully tear the seam at the bottom of the garbage bag so i make a tube so to speak, then i tear the top of my soil bag then condom style the garbage bag over the soil bag then tip them both in the hole. After that i just pull up on the soil bag letting it fill the garbage bag. simple yet satisfying.

Yup thats exactly right. There is alot of vegetation and i know their roots would just love to get a nice piece of real estate inside that nice happy frog soil.

Hey Kill what do ya use for nutes?
Im using the fox series, for now just big bloom and grow big with some thrive alive and azamax to keep them healthy outside. i use the azamax right in the soil to keep away soil pests and it also helps with foliar pests aswell. admitedly i am usuing just a hint of flora micro from general hydroponics, yeah its a chemical...big deal.

Haha I feel ya, But i usually like to keep as organic as possible....not to sound like a tree hugger, but we only have one earth, and i want to grow my weed on it as long as possible.

For Sure.... I agree with you, not a tree hugger myself, but the idea of preserving our awesome and amazing planet strike me to the core....

from the pics it looks like you did not backfill the hole putting dirt around the trashbag.. is there space between the bag full of your soil and the ground?

oh yeah its snug around the bag, although the plant is sunk into the ground a good 3 or 4 inches, but thats just to make watering easier, and to keep the hot sun from cooking the soil.
