Killa Queen X Blue Hammer (the search for some ladies)

Sounds like you're going to have some pretty cool F1s to play with, hopefully you'll do a grow report.

Updates: just holding steady as she goes, I think I'm looking at another 2, maybe 3, weeks for the bulk of my stuff. I've been scoping the trichs and keeping a sharp eye out for budworms...lost a top nug from one KQxBH to those bastards...they really liked the one cola of that plant.

Aside from the KQxBH, I'm also running Cheeseberry from e$ko, G13/Skunk from Mr. Nice and Super Lemon Haze from GHS. The SLH and one Cheeseberry are probably going to take the longest, I'm anticipating a November harvest on those two.

Will update with some pics, possibly today.

sorry to hear about the cola loss...thats as bad as the fan topping my #1 KQxBH....oh I hope to do a report, thats looking ahead.

I dig your mix of gene`s ... top notch strains..

Fortunately it was only the very top nug, so not a big loss.

I'm subbing up for that grow report for sure.

Thanks. I'm really looking forward to trying the different strains. Like I've said, this is just my first grow, but.I'm an obsessive researcher. When I decide to do something, I want to know everything there is to know, so I spent a lot of time paying attention to talk of genetics and what people think is solid and which breeders are doing quality work. Talk about information overload...it's crazy how much is out there.

Here's a bit of a photo update.

First up we've got a couple different phenotypes of the G13/Skunk from Mr. Nice. The first one is untopped and shows a pretty nice main cola, also has pink pistils. The second is very short and compact.

PA100002.jpg

Next we have the KQxBH ladies. Both were topped and show a fair amount of side branching.

PA100003.jpg

PA100004.jpg

Here are two different phenotypes of the Cheeseberry from e$ko. All 4 CB ladies stretched a fair amount and are pretty leggy, but the second pic looks almost vine-like in structure, also notice how far behind the second one is in flowering...they were started at the same time.

PA100006.jpg

And last, but not least...a shot of one of the Super Lemon Haze tops. This plant isn't showing a tendency towards making large colas, but rather producing a lot of heavy side branching with good flower density.

Hey yoyo. So far, on this thread, only inhale has run KQxBH to completion...at least I'm assuming he did, we haven't heard from him in a while. Maybe urbangrower did too, I can't recall.

My girls are still probably a few weeks out, but I'm really looking forward to them. The flowers have this sweet, fruity aroma to them and they're frosting up really nice. I think it's going to be a real treat.

Post up some pics, show us where you're at...this thread has kind of evolved into an open grow journal for those of us running KQxBH, so you're welcome to post your progress.

And here's my fall/winter experiment. A Casey Jones S1 from Breeder's Boutique. Took forever to crack the seed, but then it just came to life.

I've the same question as yoyo...so no one has smoked this cross yet? I'm dying to hear, too, as I got some seeds and aren't sure if this what I'll run next. Hurry up and harvest already! LOL

I'd definitely encourage you guys to run them when you get the chance. Obviously I can't tell how it is until I get at least a half ass cure on it, but I think it's going to be nice.

Minor update here guys. I think my KQxBH ladies will be getting chopped down within the week, aiming for Saturday or Sunday. I've been scoping them out and I'm seeing trichs that are mostly cloudy with some clear and a scattering of amber, I figure 3-4 more days will allow them to ripen up just a tad and be right where I want them. So my next update will be at harvest time.

joe ...wasssuppp

Dude hope we can get some good closeups of that sensi KQxBH. If you were to let them stay in...how much longer do you think they would go? Are they 50% or more still makeing pistals?

cant wait!

I'll definitely get some pics up when the chop happens.

Honestly, I don't really have enough experience to gauge how much longer they could go.My gut tells me that a week is about the longest I want to push it. But, like I said, I'll be checking them and will ultimately decide based on the progression of the trichs and overall appearance. Not seeing a lot of new pistils, a great deal have turned orange and started to recede.

Edit: according to Poldergrower at opengrow (the guy who made KQxBH) the ladies should take 9-11 weeks of flowering to reach maturity. I'm not 100% on when the plants started their flowering cycle, being outdoors, but they started earlier than anything else in my garden. Given all that plus what I mentioned earlier, I believe I'm right in the harvest window. The plan is still to let them go until this weekend and make my decision at that point.

Getting excited here guys.
