Over a few years of outdoor experience, Ive learned that the bigger the pot the bigger the plant-obvious. But what i really noticed was that every top i had on big plants got infested with mold/catapillers. Big tops are a breeding central for these two major problems. (i dont like to spray)

So i like to stick with pots for 10-20 gallons in case i need to move them under shelter. Last year there was a couple unexpected rains and i wasn't able to move my 30-45 gallon pots because they were too heavy. During the time close to harvest. I like to move my plants under this little roof where they don't get much condensation at night, which contributes a lot to starting powdery mildew and bud mold.

That should be fine bro. Vegging plants can take a little stress, but unless I literally plant in June, I have yet to successfully put clones out without stressing them out.

I heard from an old hippy friend of mine that the way to acclimate them without them flowering is by giving them moonlight between 12am and 6am for a week. So it sounds like you’re doing everything right! But keep in mind, this is just some old hippy dude who grows in a modded entertainment center.

I’m running two experiments. My Alaskan Ices, I’ve been placing out at 12am. My Jack Herrer and Bubba Lavender is on the porch with the light on until around 11pm.

We’ll see what happens, if both of these processes cause flowering, then next year I’ll have to put in the extra effort to more slowly get them acclimated to the outdoor photoperiod.

Do it bro! I'll definitely follow your cloning methods. Especially if it gets the bottom of a rockwool cube looking like that. I dont have too much experience cloning, and I plan on taking a lot of clones from my outdoor plants this year.

Lagged pretty hard with the updates but heres the lowdown. Northern Lights is gone.. but it out too early and didnt want to bother with any revegging so i just tossed them. Learned a good lesson as to when is stick them outside and about supplemental outdoor lighting. Cool.

Anyway the First Generation is fucking amazing. Its a little stretchy but its beastly and very vigorous. Ive seen growth of about 6-12 inches per week, the last few weeks. They grew so fast the already filled up the 35-45 gallon smart pots. Thinking about putting a couple in 100 gallon.

if you guys look at the first picture on the thread (the seedlings). I grew out nearly 100. Now it has been narrowed down to about 15 alpha females and a couple alpha males. Its pretty crazy that you only get that much out of growing so many seeds. That is exactly when I grew out so many is because you want to look for the best genetics and keep growing on that.

This year I plan on crossing with a male with the shortest inter node spacing. Because this plants are a stretchy, i want to over time make them more compact by crossing them is bushy plants

thanks big jon, its definitely going to be a beautiful harvest. FINGERS CROSSED. I sprayed for caterpillars for the first time, due do having lost many tops colas the last few seasons. I'm sick of pulling 1 inch fucking worms out of my buds and cutting shit down. So hopefully this is relieve some upcoming stress. Im Stoked off the 5 gallon pot plants because they are kind of a fail safe to fall back on in case of mold/powdery mildew attacking the larger plants (which in my opinion are most susceptible due to the fat fucking nugs)

By the way id thought id let u guys know that the 5 gallon hydro was fucking infested with root aphids. I had noticed a few around two weeks back and didnt quite identify them. That was a BIG MISTAKE. They fuckers blew up so hard that there were literally hundreds on them in the bucket gnawing on the roots and coming thru the hydroton and onto the lid. Once i saw that.. they were fucked. hosed down the fuck out of the roots mass, took out as much of the medium as I could and replace it. Then soaked the whole root mass in neem oil with smothered those fuckers to death. Its been 2 days and i haven't seen any new ones. Hope it killed any eggs as well. Will be keeping a close eye.

Damn dude don't know how I missed this last yr. Amazing garden and what I really love is the way u used the girls as decorative planting/landscaping. Lining the steps and all around just beautiful
