I bought some patio plus started germinated some seedlings and they started good but are growing really slow. The leaves are turning yellow. I have them outside in small little starter pots but forgot to add extra pearlite. Will they get better when I transplant into a bigger pots with more pearlite?

I think the thing is that people might be using different versions of Kellogs. I was mistaken about Patio Plus and was using a different product from them. I used some stuff that came in a big package the size of a peat moss. It was very woody. It worked at first but after awhile when it was hot the top would dry out really fast and I'd have to break it up every time I watered or else it would just run down the sides of the planters. I was growing flowers in it and they didn't do very good. Also, depending on where you're located it might be different.

The description for the stuff I used says on their website "This product is regionally formulated".

So I wasn't using the bagged Patio Plus that people seem to be having luck growing in. They don't even have a picture of what I bought on their website.

Anyone use their raised bed 3 CU FT soil? Seems cheap for organic but im sure it's not as areated though I will be using it in a 34x34" fabric raised bed.
I've used their Amend sort of like mulch extra N ourtdoors no issues. Infact if you wet it and leave it in the bag outside for a month it gets dark and the wood fines break down "fine" to me.
Just nothing grows directly in it well which is not surprising.

Any one have any experience using the patio plus?
Hi grateful dead80 I have been doing an experiment using Kellogg patio plus side by side with ocean forest. I too was told to stay from Kellogg patio plus because it was low grade soil ,so I wanted to see if indeed soil was not for cannabis. because of having a low budget ,and seeing the difference in price , in my experience both have worked good for me I see no difference in my grows . the only thing I add for nuts is Terp teas once every other week , just add a little perlite for better drainage . hopes this helps !!

Thanks both yall make sense for a raised bed so ill get the pricier one with perlite for the top layer, then their raised for rest.
I have alaska liquid organic ferts and granular ferts from jobes or espoma just need to make sure not to cause hot breaking down soil near leaf line to stem.
Teas are great especially alfalfa to get the triacontanol before stretch.

yeah anytime. good luck. please have a look at amending it with some Kellogg all purpose fertilizer when you start off. It seems to supercharge things for me.

Some people believe that if someone isn't expensive it can't be good.

There was a rumor about sludge n bio waste but my research found nothing last 5 years.
Also 2009 they dropped phelps from ads or something cause he did a nice bong
I never knew they made ferts.
Supposedly MC organics (black box) is weed oriented *nevermind* it's quite lacking.
