Keeping popping breaker!!

Hello, I currently have a room set up. I have a 1000 and a 600 with some fans. I just added a dehumidifier. I now have to much for the breaker to handle. What are my options to fix the problem. I can run a extension cord from another room for the dehumidifier but would rather not. Also in the future I might add another light. Any help would be great. Thanks

install a new breaker and wiring. My buddy does all that. i dontmess with electricitybut its fairly simple. just do alot of researchand take neccesary precautions. its basically swithcing off your main unscrewing the current breaker, rewiring to wherever your going with higher gauge wire. and scrrew new breaker back in. the wire screws right into the breaker. throw back on your main and youll be golden.

most likely you have a 15-20 amp breaker
dehumidifier is like 10 amps
1000 is about 9 amps
600 is about 5
plus misc ampage.

and you want to only use half of the ampas on your breaker.

Perhaps run a hood cord extension .. Most Ballasts are capable of striking the lamp with 25 ' cord extension .. As well Cap Industries has a few ballasts that will fire lamps 65 ' away .. Food for thought unless you are willing to have someone wire your room with the amps needed .. I do not advice using extension power cords , and if you must make sure to use 12 gauge and pay the money for premium ones verses cheap shit . You don't want cheap cords starting fires

Also use the shortest length you can get away with, remember, with more length comes more resistance.

Electricity kills and burns my friend. This is not a negative comment, but if you had to post this question, I would advise against going into the panel yourself. If you own the home, have someone knowledgeable add breakers to the panel. If you are renting, follow the Professor's advice above....not all extension cords are created equal. And remember, you need more start up power to trip the ballasts (like an a/c). I am all about do it yourself, so if you do proceed with the circuit upgrades, please educate yourself. Good luck.

Most breaker are rated for one "trip" and theoretically should be replaced after only one overload. Replace the breaker and if it keeps tripping you will have to add a another power circuit to your room or source the power via short thick extension cord from another circuit.

I talked to my friends at the grow shop and they put me in touch with a "friendly" electician that they use. He works for cheap because hes a friend of a friend. Please dont try and install your own wireing. For now id run a cord from somewhere else for your dehu and not worry about the lights :) good luck

Thanks for the tips. I found my thick extension cord for construction that im running from another room for now to the dehumidifier. I know someone who is an electrician and he is cool. Ill trying to get his help. I understand the basics of the breaker box but ill wait for him to tell me what I need and let him make the changes
