Keeping light out of your bubbleponics res.. help!

Does anyone know or has anyone ever tried to use black trash bags or black plastic to keep the light out??? should i wrap the whole thing in black or just the top?? anyone?
 
I dont think trash bags would keep all the light out unless you used multiple bags. what i did was used spray adhesive and glued foil all over it, then finished up what I could get with foil tape. It was really easy and only cost like 6 for the foil tape, and like 2 for the foil the sprat adhesive i already had.
 
I would do one coat of black spray paint and one coat of white spray paint on the outside and 1 coat of black on the inside. I used 2 coats of black on the inside and outside and I don't have any problems :leaf:

I sprayed my outsides black as well, did about 10 coats of spraypaint on each bucket. I considered spraying inside but was concerned about chemicals from the paint fucking with the plants. I could just be parinoid though
 
Foil tape works great, its easy and not messy. I get mine at BIGLOTS. $4.00 for a 50 yard roll.

I have a clear lid on mine and I wasn't aware that ur not supposed to let light in the res. How will this affect my ladies???
