Plants adapt to low humidity here in socal quite well and the late finishing ones seem to do well also. Here in the high desert some of us veg indoors until the 4th of july harden them off and put them outside and they flower right out.this will give you a nicer plant thats less beat up but smaller.

Greenhouses are great for growing before or longer than the weather permits. I considered it myself, but decided against it simply because the house would hold in too much heat without great ventilation(which is costly to install and run correctly) and there tends to be humid spots that can create mold issues. To combat the heat and low humidity just water early in the morning and foliar spray at night. It's worked well for me.
