Keeping Clones from Flowering/Outdoor Early Summer

Want to put clones in the ground JUNE 1. Light will be around 15 hrs. 9 min. daily outside then. Taking cuttings APRIL 1, Mom's are under 17on/7 off right now.
After these have rooted, and coming from the Mom's light regimine, can I lower the light cycle to 14 hrs. right away to train them until JUNE 7, without them flowering inside and so they will be accepted into 15 hrs. of natural outdoor light and go into the summer Veg'n outside? Dont want to keep them at 18/6 after cloning, no need for aggressive growth during this time. And I am just trying to avoid them going into flowering when i put them out in JUNE and then the girls possibly re-vegging in july, then back to flowering in August. They will be beat down by that point, and the work will have been for nothing, like last year.
Its to cold in may up here to get an early harvest, in the spring, so this has to be my objective...
Any experienced answer will be much appreciated....

If we knew about your region I'm sure some one could give an educated guess on your time frame. In my region I can put them out in May no problems at all.dirrtyd

Upstate New York Typically out around June 1------------------to avoid late freak frosts, and start to get warm days and soil.
Start to flower around August 1-7
Usually Done around September 20.....some other strains that are more Sative Dominant go longer, but this strain doesnt really make
sense to grow around here, for the weather really starts to take a turn for the worst.

This year, White Rhino is going out, and I would like to get them to get a full summer of VEG and FlOWER in August-done around September 20,so I cant have them trigger into flowering June 7(15 hrs. of light daily) when they go out....coming from a 17 hr. indoor lights on sched.........So I guess, when I clone in April, let them get established in soil cups briefly, and slowly try to diminish the indoor light down to about 15 hrs. then send them out on June 7,where it will be 15 hrs. outside and they can continue on a normal outdoor summer regimine. ????????????????????????????????????

no dont do this as it will only encourage early flowering. Keep them at 20/4 as this will force the plant to 'lock in' to vegging instead of almost flowering(15/9), before they go out.

You definately think, not to do this?

I can somewhat wrap myself around this theory, of locking them into a solid veg cycle indoors with a high amount of light...(20 hrs.) for a transfer to the outdoors for the summer, where I am at with this thought though ,is that by the time they get ready to go out, they will be near 8 weeks in age,(mature) and coming from a mom that is already very sexually mature, they will jump at the chance to flower given the opportunity.I am thinkin, that goin from 20 inside to the predicted 15 hrs. in june.. immediately, will definately put them in panic mode and the need to reproduce, will be nothing but imminent....given that they need typically that 12/12 to flower, but I have seen flowers starting to develope @ 14 hrs. "on".......man I would hate for this to go sour, with all the hope put into a successful summer.

May not be an option for you but I would root my clones in a greenhouse that time of year. That way they get adjusted perfectly to your light cycle.

Its not really..but then if there was, I would be cloning around 13-14 hrs. of daylight.I just see to many dynamics that would prove that un-doable.

a plant that goes outside after being under 20/4 is harder to turn to flowering than a plant thats been under 15/9 :!:

Buds is wrong. The closer to 24 hour lighting the more likely the clones are to flower in early spring. You want to keep your clones on 15/9 or 16/8 lighting.

Just took clippings from a blue dragon mother. They won't be ready to put outside in ground until end of June. What's the best case/best guess scenerio in terms of yield/size that I can expect?
