wanted to add a second bubbler to my dwc so and they didnt have any more stones so i bought this air curtain thing, works alot better than an airsonte i must admit but problem is, when i suction it to the bottom, it shortly becomes detached and floats to the top causing no bubbles, dont want this to happen while im sleeping for 8 or so hours (bye bye plants) so was wondering if anyone knew hwo i could keep it down there, i thought maybe putting metal weight but i dont know if metal will harm plants, anybody know? i tried fishing weights but they werent strong enough, any input thanks

If you use enough of them they should work. The lead straps that are used for some aquarium plants could be used. Or, rubber band some rocks or something heavy to it (both ends).

I have no idea if metal would be safe... but I personally wouldn't use it because of rust.

I would do one of two things:

1. Glue it down (either PVC glue or Silicone Sealant depending on what it is made of and what the DWC is made of)

or

2. Get a knee high stocking (you can get a box of 12 for like $2.00 at walmart). Get some gravel from the fish section of walmart. Fill a few stockings; tie shut and place over the air curtain in a few places to weight it down.

Good luck :)
