So the adjustment screw has 11 points and u turned yours to 9 is what ur saying
I've ran mine at full and didn't have any issues. You can also remote mount the driver to keep things cooler if you want. But mine are all mounted to the boards for simplicity. And if you want a precise measurement, use a KillAWatt meter when you adjust it.

The Mars / Spider issue is pretty easy to see , they are the same company ......
They flood RIU with wonky “ contests “ to keep interest alive. Many old “ blurple “ companies are jumping on the “ quantum board “ band wagon .... even ViparSpectra .

Mars / Spider share the same distribution centers AND retailers.
Notice : they even misspell “ United State “ the same. Locations are the same...... etc.

Lots of people want to argue this but it is what it is. Even vendors in China ( alibaba ) build these as knockoffs at even cheaper cost , so it makes one wonder . But , I will say I have noticed some good grows running the sf 2000 / 4000 and SP250 mars bar .
ANY LIGHT WILL GROW WEED ..... cheap lights ? ... been there done that. Just remember you get what you pay for......
and it seems you are finally getting watts as advertised unlike some BS 1000w or 2000w claims.

Spider Farmer has been a grow light seeing a lot of popularity due to reasonable cost.
At least it’s better than those disco blurple panels.

Wow, I didn't realize they were the same company. Good to know. I've just heard a lot of people raving about them on here, and they look different than the Mars to me. I have HLG myself. Great info man. Thanks.

Agreed that it's great info for sure.

On my roadmap over the next half year I have LED research planned, so to get this intel now is kind of invaluable.

Ok well i appreciate everyones opinion and information. I was two seconds from buying the spiderfarm and last minute after seeing it was the same as the mars i decided and bought the hlg 135
Right at 200$ no more blurpurple....if they give me enough cord ill hang the driver above the tent . Il leave the light at the top which ill have about 36inches. Very good info though

For what you get ... it’s a good value. It definitely beats using heavy blues and red.
The spectrum is much better.

me and the wife smoke about 1/4oz a month and i use about 1 oz for cannaoil a month. I dont mind doing 1 plant every 3 4 months when i harvest. Soinds good i dont drink though.

It was my 1st and only grow, and i had tons of issues and overmothered her to death. Im hoping to do better. I dont know what it pulls just going by what they said off ebay lol.

Is there a lot of heat...thats concerning my blurple doesnt get that warm .

Appreciate it if you think the spider is better inmay go that route. I can always upgrade later since its not too expensive
Doesn't sound like you need another light. You're growing more than you need with what you have already. Call it a day and keep doing what you're doing.

Good choice man. I thought spider farm was on the nicer end just because of the price but it looks like that’s not the case.
